The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.
@Peterl4290Ай бұрын
People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyperinflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyperinflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.

Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. A rise in prices DOES NOT equal inflation...at least not in and of itself. In a market economy, supply and demand determine the value or price of something. Either of these two factors will raise or lower the price. This is NOT inflation. Inflation is something else and this video does not address it. Inflation is the ratio of money supply to the gross national income. The Federal Reserve Bank can and does regulate the supply of money by printing more or less of it and this is the factor that causes inflation, deflation or stability in prices. Economic policies determine the goals desired by the Fed and thus the money supply is manipulated to achieve the desired effect.My advice to anyone feeling the heat in this inflation, just trade long term more than ever, I have made over 540k from day trading with Adriana Mcgrath in few weeks, this is not a bad alternate during this crash.

I dont think the high debt rate is an issue if you have the wide picture, when the interest rates are going steadly down like they've been in the past 40 years, people have the incentive to keep borrowing. Why you may ask? Cuz once the rates start to rise long term again(like they are doing now), everything will become more expensive, since the profitability threshold required to borrow for any venture is going to get higher and higher. This results in those who borrowed back when the rates were low have much more leveraged capital to invest in their expensive and rising product. They are gonna put on the working/lending hat, and take off the borrowing hat for a few decades. IN THE END, the debt ratio is going to decrease gradually assuming they were actually producing demanded products. If not, then, farewell, thats how empires collapse.

The US economy is already in recession. Any rate cut will not ignite inflation. The banks will tighten even more, all consumer and corporate credit lending. This is the beginning of a deflationary period for your assets. Stocks markets will decline, and stock values disappear in a blink of the eye. Businesses will begin layoffs in earnest which will soon be reflected in the unemployment rate and unemployment claims, to further solidify the recession. In fact, when the FED cut rates in Sept, it will signify that the Titanic is going under, and it will suck everything down. Retail and housing sales will truly decline as consumer hold off their purchases. The inverted yield curve will then turn positive, but remember, certain assets like stocks and Crypto’s acts as a hedge. Long & short-term trading is generally safer, allowing investors to weather market volatility. I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 130k to a decent 532k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Milton Harper, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

Regarding IPO's: a) 2021 was a boom year for IPO's - 4x the average year! Most of those were pulled forward, so we should naturally expect it to be light for a few years. b) SPAC's also went crazy a couple of years ago, so that generated a TON of funding for startups and is going to have an unpredictable effect on IPO's for awhile.

I hope we all know that it doesn't matter who is in the 'top job' because this is a systemic problem - greed. We have allowed many of our economic sectors, to take advantage of the American people. It's disgusting and frightening for the future of our country. My husband and I will be retiring in the next two years n another country. We are absolutely worried that SSI will no longer be funded. we'll have to rely on his pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific Investment account with my Tracy Britt Cool Consulting my FA. Our national debt is bloating and expanding every month. Our government needs to get spending under control and cut the federal budget.

I'm 56 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

In the 80's my Dad worked a modest job, Mom stayed at home and raised the kids, and they lived a nice middle class lifestyle including owning a home. Nowadays both I and my partner works and can barely afford to make ends meet. Soon the kids and family dog will need to work to keep this household going. It's the destruction of the American dream right before our eyes.

Jamie understands the basic fact that an economy can not have high inflation and low borrowing cost. No investor on the planet will loan money at 3% if inflation is 4% because the "real yield" on that investment is a negative number. The Federal Government constantly rolls over debt not unlike paying off a credit card with a new credit card. The problem is in 2020 Uncle Sam basically had a 0% teaser rate... The 5 year bond as an example: In 2020 5 year paper cost the US Treasury 21 basis points. That debt is starting to mature and if refinanced with new 5 year paper, that will cost the the US treasury nearly 400 basis points. When your borrowing cost increase by 1,800%, that doesn't look like a soft landing.

I think alot of people are missing the key getaway here. A banker's job is to identify winning ventures and charge them as high of an interest as they can. When you see a banker panicking about an upcoming fed interest rate decrease, know that they invested your deposited money in a losing venture and were relying on the high interest rate to breakeven as much as possible. low interest rates and high inflation are the dream of every banker, because they can get away with robbing you blind, giving you money next year that is worth 96% of its last year's value and keeping the difference in their pockets.

He’s bang on, I think we’ll be seeing higher inflation/ interest rates for the next couple of decades, but although there will be the usual market crashes/ corrections I think market valuations will generally still be very high, and being out of sync with the overall economy. That’s nothing new, if you have 100 years of market data, you can actually see that has happened before, the crash that set off the Great Depression, it took 10 years for the economy to recover, but only 6 months for the market to recover. I also think he’s wrong on the IPOs remember companies don’t have to pay dividends, so essentially IPOs is essentially free money. The opposite was true when interest rates were low company buy backs were popular, because it was cheaper to pay interest then it was for some companies to pay their dividends.
