Keep Yiddish alive if it's possible. Feel bad that in Israel the language is considered second class. Nisht Geet.

Yiddish was built on Middle High German, not Low German. It's a Germanic language in its own right, as much as New High German (Standard German). It's not very difficult for people who speak the Mainz dialect of the Rhineland or a similar dialect. Pennsylvania Dutch (Pennsylfaanisch Deitsch) is very close-- in Yiddish, the mothertongue (mammaloshen) can be called 'Deitsch'.

A year and some months later I'm the FIRST one to comment on this great comedy duo?? Wow! These guys are like "Seinfeld" but in Yiddish! Love you guys even though I hate Yiddish culture with a passion; the language and culture which allowed for six million of my fellow Jews to passively walk into the death camps. I'm a proud Jew, I speak Hebrew and own more guns than you guys own kippot, btw.

Most of us watch and comment on the YidLife Crisis channel. I love them. This is one of the best, however. Mayim is brilliant also.

Israeli law, as it is currently codified, includes the Mizrahim amongst the Sephardim... And at the end of the day...we're all from Eretz Yisrael if you go far enough up the genetic ladder.

I just read the description. The answer is NO! Smoked meat cannot be cut o a slicing machine. Bens used a machine for decades, nd look: they went out of business. (I miss their Latkes.) In Toronto, you must eat at Sumsicious. Better than Centre Street any day.
