Jamie Foxx's portrayal of Ray Charles is the greatest acting job that I've ever seen. I thought that I was actually watching Ray Charles. The fact that Foxx can really play the piano made a great difference in the film.

Being present with a monster talent like Jamie Foxx, and hitting that sweet spot of being himself and not getting in the way, but really adding to the discussion in such a laid back fashion is so unusual and it's very much appreciated. Just so good! Also, I find it hard to believe that, along with being an incredible actor, and a funny as hell comedian, Jamie's ability to not only sound like someone he's imitating but to be able to capture their super subtle little mannerisms that capture and defines the person really leaves me wondering how one person can have so damn much talent.
