It's amazing that filmmakers today can commit to a franchise for 3 films because they're supposedly fans but seemingly get bored with the main character by the end and kill them off in the most unceremonious way possible. Then say the fans are either toxic or just haters because they don't like the conclusion or the film altogether. Never would've thought that Michael Myers would get the Last Jedi treatment, it's a pretty sad sight.

It's pretty funny considering he's the character that's been driving the narrative for so long in the franchise and definitely the last two movies before this. To help clear things up for you; imagine James Bond being relegated to almost a glorified cameo then disposed of in a trash compactor in his latest movie. It's pretty much what happened to Michael Myers in this.

@Fletch if you personally enjoyed the film then good for you. From my perspective, both films managed to achieve the same goal: end the franchise by disregarding what fans wanted to see by subverting expectations in the most underwhelming way. The Last Jedi ignored any set up from the previous film and made Luke Skywalker into a fool hermit who was easily bested by someone with no training, no grandmaster Luke for longtime fans of the Legends continuity unfortunately. Halloween Ends portrayed a Michael Myers who after killing dozens of people in the previous films has ended up living as a hobo Pennywise who gets embarrassed and his mask stolen by a guy who was getting bullied by marching bands teens. Both are pretty inconsistent portrayals of their respective character. Quick question; why would Corey want Michael's mask which he has been wearing incessantly for 4 years straight in a filthy sewer? It must've absolutely reeked haha. Regardless, my opinion is my own and doesn't have to reach a consensus on a KZbin comment thread.

I'm kinda back and forth with ends. I want to love it so bad but I just can't get over how triumphant the made Michael at the end of kills just to make him weak and brittle. It's very contradicting. They should've continued the whole "more he kills the more he transcends into something more"

I specifically didn’t watch kills so I could watch ends back to back this October, i was so disappointed when Ends picks up so long after the events of the second. It would’ve been sick to have a trilogy of Halloween movies all take place on the same night. Also I guess Ends originally was supposed to be shot alongside Kills but bc of COVID issues they had to move things around so I’m assuming that changed the story a bit. Ultimately, i think they had other plans for the last entry.

You can say Michael didn’t get enough screen time but let’s be honest he got a fuck ton the last two films and even so he still got more than he did in 1978. Michael got 9 minutes of screen time in the original and in ends he got at least 11 minutes (minus the deleted and extended scenes not added)

It's a horrible Halloween movie, and not to fond on the way Jamie Lee treated the actor that played her daughter in 4 and 5. At the after screening party the woman that was the little girl in Halloween four and five goes up to Jamie Lee and introduces herself, and says I played your daughter in these Halloweens. Jamie Lee looks at her and says I've never seen those movies and I don't know who you are. Check out the story online, she done the same thing to the girl in Rob zombie's Halloween that played Lori strode. Sent them out in tears. So the point is Jeremy Lee Curtis is a good actor but a horrible person, and she's going to boast this movie and herself up like it's so good. Which actually is in one of the top worst Halloweens out there.

Life long fan of the Halloween franchise besides the rob zombie versions. Halloween ends was such a disappointment. Also Jamie lee Curtis is a disappointment. Taylor scout Compton and Danielle Harris appreciated Jamie lee Curtis at the showing of Halloween ends. She brushed both of them off like she didn’t know them. Harris said to lee Curtis “ I played your daughter in 4&5” Curtis replied with i don’t watch those movies and walked away. Idk I’m not a fan of hers anymore. Sad to see the franchise end like this tho.

Lost all respect for this woman. A long time fan of hers but I heard she was real nasty to the actors that played her neice and other actors who was not in the original Halloween movie that launched her career. The actors from the other Halloween movies approached her to introduce themselves at the Halloween Ends premiere and this woman acted like they didn't exist and said she didn't recognize them cause they was not in the original movies and the new movies from 2018 to now which is a load of crap. To treat people any kind of way and do that cause you feel like you are the reason they even acknowledge is really classless and I lost all respect for her.

Jamie Lee Curtis a National Treasure, yes she is the scream Queen but she is more than that as well,She's a Beautiful talented woman who rose above it. I just love how down to earth she is, Would love to have a conversation with her someday. Anyways in regards to Halloween Ends.... She did superb but the quality of the script was garbage, the passing of the torch sequence they tried to do failed miserably. Making Michael just a pure imitation of himself was a big no no, in this one they made Michael weak, feeling his age etc, That's not the Michael we want or deserve. Also Lori Strode's character and Jamie lee herself deserve a better rewrite. We need a redo, Halloween ends was a letdown, a failure.

I loved Halloween Ends.. I feel like it was a great film and actually a really great sub story that brought you to a new idea of what Michael Myers is.. I feel like big fans of the franchise had to much of a love affair with Myers or something because it's odd how triggered they were by the story. It was a fantastic film. Also, rail me over the head, lol, I wasn't a huge fan of the franchise before this trilogy.. I watched it and I sort of was just there.. Scream snagged me very early and that was my horror God lol.. so.. I just feel like this trilogy really knocked it out of the park.
