I met Danielle Harris and Scout Taylor-Compton last year at a horror convention. To spite me being super nervous, they were both very kind and came off as incredibly genuine and sweet. This story kinda makes me sad! Scout and Danielle are still two of my favorite Scream Queens!

I lost all respect for Jamie when I heard her say that parents like me who let their kids watch these movies are basically degenerates...ive watched these movies on syndication since i was a kid in the 80s, cause most kids in the 80s did just that. A couple of years ago (give or take), I saw this interview. She was talking about My Girl. She said she cussed so much that she gave the kids each a jar to put a dollar in every time she swore. When they finished filming, Mac and Anna had at least 200 dollars. She said she handed each one their jar and said fuck you. These kids were no older than 11 at the time. She was laughing while telling this story. Yet, she condemns parents for letting them watch Halloween. Very hypocritical. Aside from that, she has always come off smug. I don't understand her appeal. Even when she was younger, I never found her attractive. And YES, I realize beauty is subjective. But she looks manly to me. Her striptease in True Lies is so cringe, at least to me.

It did! Jamie Lee Curtis and Steve Miner made them remove it. There were two things in the script. The first was a scene where one of Laurie's students does a report about the Haddonfield murders. When the report is over, Laurie runs out of the room, goes into a bathroom and throws up. She is horrified by the information that her daughter is dead and her brother is still alive. The second was a revelation that Michael didn't really hate Jamie Lloyd. He knew that Laurie Strode was still alive all this time. But he thought that if he put Jamie into enough danger, it would make Laurie come back out of hiding. But after he wound up killing Jamie and Laurie still didn't show, THAT's when he decided to just go after her. The scene with the report--Jamie Lee Curtis refused to shoot it. And so did Steve Miner. Miner wanted to ignore everything except the first movie. But when they reminded him the sister angle isn't in the first one (cause most people's memories of the first Halloween back then were the TV Version where the sister thing is inserted into), he was forced into acknowledging "Halloween II." Series producer Moustapha Akkad fought Curtis and Miner all the way up to Disney (who owned Dimension) to retain the references to 4-6. Disney sided with Curtis and Miner and that's why all the references to 4-6 are gone... EXCEPT for one: in the opening titles, there's a pair of bloody scissors shown as a murder weapon. This was a reference to "Halloween 5" and his murder of Rachel. But Miner nor Curtis knew enough about the films to know that was an out-and-out reference to 5 and didn't have it removed. Additionally, the title "Halloween H20" was Curtis' idea because she refused to appear in a movie titled "Halloween 7," which was the title on the script.

Jamie Lee Curtis was probably jealous and resentful toward actresses who replaced her as lead protagonist in later Halloween films. She made it a point to ignore any sequel she was not a part of. That's how territorial she is. Last thing she wanted to deal with was two actresses who stole her spotlight fangirling all over her. What happened to Scout and Danielle is the reason you should avoid meeting people you idolize. Never meet your heroes in person because if the experience goes bad it will break your heart and in extreme cases emotionally scare you for life. Even if you meet them again at later time and they apologize it won't erase the bad impression they left the first time.

When I first heard about this, I felt really bad for them. Danielle made it known that she was a huge fan of Jamie and to be ignored like that was a big disappointment to her. I have heard that Jamie is rude to her fans and it’s obvious that she only considers her movies in the Halloween franchise to be the only important ones (apart from Resurrection, which I believe she referred to as a "joke"), and all others don’t exist to her, therefore, seeing Danielle as just another fan. Yeah, we know that Jamie doesn’t like horror movies and probably never saw the other films outside of her own, but she is no fool, so I don’t believe for a second that she had no knowledge whatsoever of who Danielle was. So, telling Danielle this was probably because she saw her as just a fan, or there is perhaps more to this. Besides this, I have heard that Jamie and Danielle follow each other on Instagram. I love Jamie, and I understand that she's not a fan of the genre even though she does the movies and her career was basically founded on them. Some actors actively seek out roles in specific genres because they're fans. But for a lot of actors, it's simply a profession. They take roles because it's their job, so they're not necessarily going to be big fans of the genres they get hired to do movies for. But could it have been so bad if she at least acknowledged the Halloween movies she wasn't in and gave a little more respect to the people who kept the franchise going while she was off doing other stuff? I’ll be honest, I’m not JLC fan. I don’t know her of course but her abrasive nature in interviews rubs me the wrong way. And the fact that she isn’t a horror fan, and quite literally can’t take the scary parts in her own movies, also rubs me the wrong way. She has had 3 timelines devoted to her, and why? Despite what people say, she isn’t the draw to the movie. She’s boring in the first movie, sidelined in the second, unlikeable in H20, and then reups that unlikeable nature in the newest trilogy. I know she can play likeable characters, in My Girl for example, but in my opinion Jamie, Rachel, and Paul Rudd’s Tommy all surpass her character in acting and likability.
