YES!! Sell the parts that aren't broken, sometimes parts go for a bigger price than the item all together. (mounts, cords, etc) People even buy broken monitors for parts

Sometimes companies that stage houses will use broken monitors and TVs because they do not need to be on for photos and there is less risk if they get stolen.

Hey guys I want to thank you for keeping this real. It takes a lot of guts to get on and face the world saying well , we got took on this 1. I know that is just part of the business but it really sucks I understand. I also wanted to say that Walmart speaker system. I have that exact same system in my Apartment right now. And I love it. I've got the 2 satellite speakers on the wall behind me. And then the soundbar mounted I'm on top of above the TV on the wall. Because I couldn't put my TV on the wall. Because I couldn't find the studs. But I'll tell you what it sounds fantastic. It's really cool to be sitting listening to a football game and here in the crowd , cheer behind you

I just started buying .. from GRPL as well so nice to see this place in random videos. I have found out out of the 8 carpet cleaners I have got 8 were used.. one time use on most, missing pieces water in the tank and then one extremely used and gross unit. I no longer count them as a product to count on to get money back. granted they were 200 plus dollar units for half of them its still a let down to see every type of one product always used.

@michaelgoedeker9697 Жыл бұрын
I think you could totally sell the higher end broken monitors for parts. You should try to make sure the actual screen itself is in good shape. The screen itself is expensive and people are always looking for good screens.
@fsimon5230 Жыл бұрын
I think the last two monitors were display models, hence the dust and the fact that there were two different models in one box. I say this as I bought a TV display and there was a lot of dust on it. Plus you would miss stand, cords and/or remotes. Just a thought.

Borken monitors can still be sold for "parts and repair." You won't get as much for them, and may sit on them longer, but people will get them, even with a broken screen if the rest is fine.

Also the broken electronics you can take apart and sell the chip boards. They have small amounts of precious metals in them. I think Padnos buys them. Also the wires contain copper which is $3.00/lb right now. So if you strip it you can get the bare prices for it. Or you can sell the unstripped wire as well for significantly less money.
@mrbmp09 Жыл бұрын
I doubt they are going to spend 2 hours stripping a pound of copper wire for $3.

You can totally sell the monitors for parts. The problem with those MSI curved monitors is that they were in the middle of the pallet. The weight on top would have busted it if it wasn't busted already.

I think electronics are hard because they break. Or if you're like me and don't know enough about them you don't realize that they are the older model, not as great of specs, and people don't want those. They are usually heavily discounted even by the brand or manufacturer.

How you end up with items that aren't supposed to be in the box they are in, it should be when you return something to amazon the place you drop it off at has to make sure its the right item and they deal with shipping it back for you (don't have to pay for a box if its needed) so people returning there old things won't happen anymore. This has been a thing for about a year where I live so wonder when it will happen everywhere cause guessing places still don't have that set in place.

Explain the title Jamie. You didn't pay thousands, and if you get more as you paid than you make a profit, so you didn't loose. True it might be much less as expected, but I do not see how that constitute losing thousands. And broken stuff, isn't there some sort of repair shop or whatever in town ?? If so ask them if it is worth repairing, or if they want it for spare parts in case of the latter yu might be able to sell it to them, in case of the first reduced sales price FB marketplace. Less profit is still profit.

If you're looking to get rid of the damaged electronics, instead of putting them directly into a landfill, maybe consider donating them to a "Rage Room". They can use them as destructible property. MANY people would LOVE to take a sledge hammer to a monitor.
