Tried a M11M on Friday, not used a Monochrom or a range finder before, it was an experience and fortunately I got some shots I was happy with before I had to give it back. Definitely looking towards a M.

3:26 it would have been so perfect in color with his orange jacket matching the bus behind him :) , i get that it's a monochrom sensor

Great photos from you both, loved the slightly different perspectives and the video flowed so well. Definitely looked like some Portra 400 and the M6 would have gone down well with that weather and colour tones!

@@moonlitimage thank you! When does the M6 and Portra ever not work! Haha I think some ilford hp5 or even 3200 would have been the look. Portra maybe too sharp for this vibe but any film (other than phoenix) would have looked nice. Appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. J

I had a Q2 Monochrom (I regret selling that awesome camera), but got an M11 Monochrom (I LOVE it). I used to also have an M11 color camera, but sold it to get an SL3 (I have a CL, Q3 43, SL2 Silver and thought it’d be good to have the SL3). I currently find that I like shooting monochrome on M cameras. While one can convert the M11 color to monochrome, I prefer the constraints the M11M provides (it’s a different shooting experience). I’ll likely get an M12 color camera when it is released.

@@johnkasianowicz6536 this is weird. I’m exactly the same. Miss my Q2M everyday but the M11M is just a beast! Love the SL3 but didn’t fancy upgrading from my SL2. SL2-s makes no sense to me, I’d rather use my phone. Why they make those I don’t understand. I too am waiting for M12 or M11 Reporter.

@ I got the SL3 because I’m thinking of using the SL series professionally (nothing exciting, just gigs to recuperate a fraction of what I’ve spent on Leica kit), and the SL2 + CL will serve as backups (things happen). I REALLY miss the Q2 Monochrom. Even though I have a Q3 43 and M11 Monochrom, I might pick up a Q2M again someday. I loved the feel of that camera and the constraints of one lens and B&W only.

Damn Jamie, the energy level in this one was insane! Your editing paired with the close wide angle shots mixed in with the Fuji x Lux combo was a joy to watch. And that Fuji combo really looks insane - your Mrs. took amazing shots on it! Lately I watch a lot of monochrome videos … but have to stay strong and go out shooting instead adding another body to my kit 😅😀 Always a pleasure watching your videos to get inspired. Did a session last week and unfortunately directly got called out by a rude person at the beginning of my shoot. But luckily i was able to keep walking and he didn’t followed me 😅

Always knocks your confidence and getting on with it straight away is the best thing you can do. Often it just takes capturing a good image or meeting someone the opposite who is nice, welcoming and restores the faith for you to crack on! Thanks for the ongoing support. J

@@filterfreephotography it is the black leather Leica strap that comes with most M bodies then I have cut it to a shorter length for more of a necklace vibe!
