I SO LOVE THIS!! Am I the only one that thinks the rythm at the chorus is similar to "Running up that Hill" in all existing versions? Is not a critic. I think Jamie Bower is super original and amazing!! But I can't ignore it. I love his voica range, it is unbelieveable to listen his singing skills at "Paralyzed", or "Devil in me", and then, listening to his higher voice tone in "Crow", that is similar to his tone when he participated at "Sweeney Todd" (where I watched and listen to him for the first time), it is magical!!! And absolutely amazing!! He is also a great actor. I admire him so, so much!! One of the best young artists of this generation!!

A lot of people associate all corvidae birds with the negativity of the raven (I would imagine helped by Poe and the Witchfinders) but there's a lot of interesting lore about crows being a symbol of positive change and rebirth (especially being watched by or followed by crows in dreams) - and equally interesting stuff on the association of crows with females of strength and power. So there's a nice duality of light and dark in the lyrics distinctive of Poe's romanticism
