You are a true inspiration to me, I am currently going threw a divorce and going threw child custody. I use to surf everyday threw high school but had a bad bail which laid me in bed for a month after going over the falls...I just picked up a 6’4” from a good will for $35 and can’t wait to get on!! If I could ride with you and get a couple lessons, I feel it would give me the confidence to teach my daughter to surf! Thankyou so much for your inspiration!!! You are truly amazing! Let me know what to do to spend a day with you! I am totally up for taking any you have for me and just want to feel the beauty that you see in waves!

Your comment about riding shore breaks that close out is on point. Grew up going to Sandy's when I started learning (rough place) and then I moved to the mainland in Cali and did the same thing here. Learning quick pop ups at the beach breaks. Sometimes that's the only place that's really breaking and looks fun. Sometimes that 3 to 5 second wave that's a closeout barrel is what more fun then a 10 second mush burger in 2 - 4 surf at a point break. Love the teaching thing Mr JOB, you have offically become my favorite teacher of all time. Congrats bro!

The ending was hilarious with the spit sound effects lol i miss home big time, been stuck in alaska last 10 years of my life, rent was crazy so i left the best thing other than my family and friends wich is the northshore. I Use to stand up on my body board and trip everybody out and get mistaken for my bro chris wonton taloa all the time. You'd find me at otw, gums, ehukai, gas chambers, vland. Im jealous of all you back home, love the vlogs keep 'em coming its the only way i get my fix in is through you guys! Aloha

barrel riding use to freak me out as a kid, early 80’s in Newport. Sometimes still does. Suddenly surrounded and then all the noise. The mental game is hard. The practice stuff he is talking about really helped my ride. This guy makes pipe look amazing. I’ve never been. My hearts going just looking at some of this footage.

Hear on the the central coast of Cali not to many chances to get barreled. Its got to be off shore light off shore good sand bars and good swell direction or you could go sit shoulder to shoulder at the reef. Anyway not to much time to practice for some reason I cant figure out were to point my board when I see a section coming up I know I sound like a kook but Im getting to old to worry about that kinda stuff. Anyway down the line to the beach or in the middle?
