I love this concept, but i found it a bit hard to accurately compare the products on your skin due to the light source casting shadows on the Fenty side of your face. For continuity, perhaps altering the light source to be more head-on would allow for a more accurate comparison! ❤

I love this video. Both brands are fantastic. But honestly, the Rare Beauty side looks much better. The Fenty side looks quite dry.

Probably because rare beauty is for dry skin and fenty beauty is for oily skin. They should spread that information more because people who don't know that and bought the one that's not for their skin type are gonna get dissapointed.

@@emilygarcia6773Same and I tend to get acne quite easily, have to be careful with what i eat and also cannot do much when once a month hormones kick in lol. Tint is light and helps me to cover the worst breakouts so i will look at least a little bit decently.

Yea but the Fenty skin products are designed for oily skin, because Rihanna has oily skin. Meanwhile, Rare skin products are for dry skin, which Jamie has. So it’s not really fair. The Rare skin products melt off my face, because i have oily skin, while the Fenty ones look much better.

I love rare beauty! Been purchasing items from the line slowly but surely. But after watching this, I think I definitely need the Fenty Skin Tint because I can get oily in the summer and the fact that it dries down matte is great.

I have the same issues re: dryness with the Fenty Eaze Drop and I found that mixing it with the MAC Face and Body gives a BEAUTIFUL finish and makes for a pretty well lasting base!

I really like rare beauty products. I haven’t tried too many fenty products but I agree with the highlighter. Too glittery for me. I like a really fine glowy shimmer. I’ve been really into Korean lip tints and makeup

Ive seen one or two comments and i agree! The lighting needs to be the same on both sides of your face for us to see accurately!! But i would also imagine Fenty beauty is more oiky skin friendly so more matte generally

One of my favorite base combos for my dry, late 50s skin is the Rare glowy primer under the Fenty EazeDrops. I use shade 6 all year, but I have to add some Dbronzi drops in the summer for shade adjustment.

@@JamiePaige Chanel does complexion really nicely. I really never have an issue with any of their face products. And even their mascara to be honest. I think the only thing I never buy from them are their eye shadows. They are just too sheer for what I want. Their traditional blushes are beautiful. Their loose powder is nice. You’ll have fun testing it out 😁

I like both brands, they both have their hits and misses, I do like more products from Rare Beauty overall so they would win for me. But I feel like their vibes are different. Rare is more natural makeup while Fenty seems more bold with all these bright colours and glittery highlighters, especially that gold one.

The Fenty foundation and concealer are soooo dry on me, and I do not even have a dry skin type! I ended up throwing them away because I could not make them work. Even tried mixing them with more watery or creamy products to make them hydrating and still a non-starter. The skin tint is super nice though!

I’ve used a few products from both and have normal to combo skin. The rare beauty foundation I’ve tried to make work but looks dry on the skin so not a fan, the concealer creases and is way to yellow so am trying to use up. The setting spray isn’t too bad though I would say the elf setting sprays probably do the same job. Fenty skin tint is so good and lasts well in all weather and is a stand out product. I brought the bronzer powder but didn’t use for ages as the shade looked a bit orange but have picked up again and trying to use it up, not a bad product but you could probably find a cheaper alternative. The matchstix are okay would try the rare beauty version. The highlighters aren’t that bad but for some reason they are quite dry like there a film on top to scratch off to get to the product. There’s a pinkish highlighter which Madison Beer used which is amazing as blush. I got a mini of the mascara as a freebie it doesn’t beat the maybelline lash sensational. The powder is finely milled but drying.

Personally I think the Rare Beauty side makes your skin look much fresher and more beautiful. I too own a few of these products :I much prefer the Fenty mascara. Everyone raves about the Rare B one but it didn't really do that much for my lashes. I also own both lip stains and I prefer the Rare B on me. Fenty Beauty Eve drops. Good thing is the product didn't break me our but I wasn't too keen on the sheer look. So basically I think the opposite to how you feel. 🤣 My skin is combination and not dry, though. But as I said, to look at, the Rare Beauty side on you looks gorgeous.

I wondered if any Rare Beauty foundation/concealer users could chime in on expiration date/smell? I hardly ever use foundation, but I did use the concealer fairly often (think weekly, but not even close to daily). After 2 years, I tossed both because the foundation had oxidized and SMELLED horrible, where the concealer hadn’t oxidized but it did smell a little off. Is 2 years reasonable for expiring? The package says 12 months, but I’m sad because I will NEVER be able to use even close to the whole thing in 12 - 24 months.

I was filming directly in front of a window, so lighting was pretty much even! I think because the RB foundation had more of a glow, it helped to reflect more light :)

I love you so much Jamie and this was cool but have some constructive feedback on this new format // there’s something about the edit on this back and forth that needs work. It’s bouncing back and forth and confusing and a little hard to like synthesize- I think we need a quick full screen write up of the head to head like you do for tournaments between product categories AND maybe to run through that head to head at the end once quickly to remember what were the 8 vs 4 again. Probs Neurotic but just had to share ha you’re literally my favorite creator and the ping pong here while fun- felt unusually scattered. I forgot what I wanted to buy / investigate by the end lol.
