I so feel the bus commentary! My little 3.5 yr old has a little speech delay, so he's in early childhood. He's always excited to get on the bus. I’ve been struggling to make dinners because of my EXTREMELY clingy toddler, but I had similar stuff needed to make this recipe (some that really needed to be used up, which is always a win!), so I prepped it while I was cooking tonight’s dinner (because it’s Labor Day, so my husband was home and watched the toddler). All I’ll have to do tomorrow is put it in the oven and throw together a salad. 🙌🏻 Have a great week!

Jamie, Thank you for sharing! I agree that Bissell needs to come out with another steam shot or something similar. I love Bissell products and I was so bummed when that was recalled. Kids grow up so fast. Enjoy those moments of them running off the bus to you. You will find as your kids grow you will adjust and find your schedule to do things. My son is 14.. he works really hard in football. Plus with the homework he stays busy/tired. I’ll clean his room up for him. I tell him he has to maintain it, but it doesn’t last long. I sometimes go in and clean up my daughter's room if she has a busy week of school, plus she also has dance classes each week. And she's thankful for the help too. My husband's excited for college football season too! He's a Georgia fan, and NY Giants for pro football, as we're in NJ and its our local team. And of course, our NY Rangers hockey team starts in October and we're excited for that too. I love fall as well. My birthday is in October, my husband in November, and our daughter gets so excited for Halloween!

You're doing great. As the mom of 4 - 1 did drama and 3 were varsity Lacrosse players so life was busy. School and sports were the focus for 23 years (that's how long it took for my oldest to reach college age). My children were also on honor role ... 2 of them earned partial academic college scholarships and 2 of them earned full tuition academic scholarships! While they had chores, I cleaned their rooms and did their laundry. I say my method paid off. My youngest graduates this May and the other 3 have successful careers and are living on their own ... they are cleaning and doing laundry. They tell my husband and I all the time that they had great childhoods - they understand why we did what we did and they have the highest appreciation and respect for the things we have taught them ... family works together and helps one another to achieve goals! The bigger the house the more to clean though...but you seem to have a good routine going...I can have mine done in about two hours maybe three ..at tops... Two bed bungalow.. My oldest used to ride the bus before high school, but I have my youngest in a specialty dual-language immersion school in a different school district so I don't have a choice but to do drop-off and pickup! I kind of miss the bus stop routine, but at least I get to bond with the other parents doing pickup since there's no bus service at all for this school. We start tomorrow!

Love your videos, been watching you for years. I wanted to make a suggestion, I kind of discovered this by accident. For our kitchen trash cans (we have a similar set up as you) we use the brand Simple Human trash bags ;we use their standard kitchen size. Since using those (for a few years now) our trash cans literally NEVER stink (dirty diapers and all!). I don't know what magic they make their bags with, but whatever it is, it works! They are a little thicker than standard trash bags, so maybe that is key, but I'm telling you, definite game changer! They don't leak or tear easily either. Thank you for your content, you were one of my inspirations when I recently started my own KZbin channel. 😊

I didn’t start riding the bus and become a latch key kid till intermediate school. My parents worked outside of the home, were shift workers. My grandma picked us up and we had babysitters or we stayed late until one of them could come pick us up. Our school had a thing where if you had to stay late you went after school and hung out like in the library or something and waited for your ride.
