The kids rooms really aren't that bad. My mom never really was the best at teaching me how to clean and setting a good example for how I should keep up with my room so it was always super messy. It is your home and so you have authority in your home. Don’t let anyone get to run their home and yours. Everyone gets to do what functions best for them as a family. I do hand over hand learning with my kids. I also go into their rooms from time to time and do my cleaning. My house, my rules. No one gets to tell me how to do it.

Jamie empty nester over here. People will judge you no matter what! Mine were responsible for school, that was their job. Yes keep your room tidy but I cleaned the house including the bedrooms. We all pitched in around the house when it was warranted as a family but it’s unrealistic to heap so much on a child. You have to be age appropriate with them & that includes your expectations on housework. Keep doing you. FYI… mine are grown and amazing humans who are productive in society. Not living in my basement because I cleaned their room as a child! 🙄😂

I played school with my brothers and sisters. I have been a teacher for 42 years and I am retiring in May. It’s very hard but time. ❤❤ I have 2 sons and they have daughters. So my 2nd grade granddaughter plays school with her sister and her cousin. She is going to turn 5 Monday and she wants to be a teacher like her grandma😮😂❤. I think you are an awesome mom!!! Yes we do need mom touches to our kids rooms. We show an example. Keep doing what you do. I have followed you since you have started and still look forward to watching you every week. Yes I love your videos on cleaning organizing. My mom wasn’t much of a house keeper but I learned young, and I am good house keeper. This is real life and even though I get where you are coming from no one on here should ever judge or say anything about the kids doing their own rooms the way I see it number one it makes great content, and it shows us real life Every day life because there is no perfect kids room. They are going to mess up their rooms and I think you do a great job. I get where people are coming from. They don’t know what you do and I do know that your kids do help and pick up their room. You just come in and do the Mom deep stuff And there’s nothing wrong with that at all. Those kind of comments just really need to be kept to themselves. We know how we run our household and how we do things and that’s our way. I think you do a great job and I think the girls do a great job. You’re doing a great job with your girls. Listen when mine was teenagers I would go into their rooms once a month and do a good Mom clean. They had laundry baskets in their rooms for dirty clothes and they knew if it wasn’t in the basket 🧺 I wouldn’t wash it. Believe me both of them learned to do laundry as a teen. Lol!! My biggest thing was that I wanted my children to grow up and be respectful, responsible adults. I thank God everyday that they did and now they are doing the same with my grandchildren. I know it’s hard sometimes but I think we all just try to do the best we know how. You and Mike are raising your girls to do the same. Hats off to you both for being amazing parents. Thank you for another great video! The round laundry baskets are great for the towels on the top shelf. The rolled up towels fir perfect and you can see what is in them thru the holes. I recently went into my 17-year-old daughter's bedroom and did come cleaning, organizing, and decorating. She's a HS senior and she's been working so hard in school, and she has a part time job. She almost cried when she came home and saw her room. She said "Oh mom! I feel like I'm on HGTV!" Her room is usually not clean at all, but I can see that she is working so hard in other areas that I wanted to bless her. I think this also teaches your kids to serve and bless others, when they have the opportunity. 🥰

Hi Jamie kids rooms are always messy it's their space. My kids growing up my daughter room was always messy my son's room was a lot cleaner. Now they are both messy now. My daughter no longer lives at home but will clean her space every week my son is still at home with his girlfriend they clean but not as often. I clean the house every day I have four tasks I do kitchen sides, sink, cupboard doors, tiles and floor. Bathroom, hoovering top to bottom and mop. I do glass and polishing once a week to every two weeks. I wash every day. Bedding every other day but that's what works for me on my home and for my family. I love how you show what a true home mess can be you are a wonderful family

Love your videos. Kids need to be kids. Our kids pickup and put things away but "us moms" always have to go in and do it with our touch. That's just us. It's not that your kids aren't doing it. You should never feel embarrassed about your kids rooms! We all have kids and have all been through it. Trust me! I was the same way. I did their laundry and left it for them to put away when they were in middle school. But every room in my house got a good monthly "mom" clean and declutter. My kids are older and married and I see they are the same way at their houses. So they did appreciate it when they were younger! I love your videos! The kids’ rooms are fine-thank you for showing them! I do think it’s important to teach kids to clean up after themselves and care for their rooms, but I also do not think that children are able to really maintain their rooms totally by themselves. I do the same as you and clean and purge in my daughter’s room periodically. She is always so grateful afterward-it is overwhelming for her to manage when the stuff gets to be too much. Hi, just wanted to say no one should tell you how to do for your children. I can remember my mom always making our room so pretty and we would just love to hang out in it when she was done, we cleaned it most of the time. Great memories ❤️. @ my mother was always busy cleaning and cooking. She raised 4 kids 2 of which were boys. They were the messy ones 😂 we always had such a wonderful and clean home. All that you do won’t be forgotten when your girls grow up. I’m 67 and still remember our small but clean home with great fondness. Moms rock!

Girl, I just spent my entire Sunday cleaning my 9 and 6 year old’s shared room. They tidy and vacuum their room on a weekly basis, but a mom has to get in there and throw away the weird stuff they try to hoard 😂😂😅 You do you Mamma! You are doing a great job and you are raising amazing women!
