I can't believe my late ass just saw this, it came out while I was in school ,so I didn't even know! OMG Jamila I can't believe after so long of a wait your finally releasing new music, I wish I could really meet you so I could express to you personally how much your music from Heavn has impacted me, when my great grandfather died, and people whom I thought were closest of friends ended up being fake as hell, I felt as if I had no one, like I could trust no one yet at the same time I felt like it was my fault everything had happened. Your music was there. I found you because KZbin recommended it to me, and Ive been hooked to it ever since, my great grandfather died after I'd found your music, so before, when I listened to lately, I knew the feeling you were expressing, and could feel the emotion, but for some reason the experience of listening to it again after having to look at the bodies of both dead loved one and a dead relationship (metaphorically although I'm sure you'd understand (why am I specifying it's not like you'll see this lol) I could truly relate to the words you sang, and I cried hot tears to lately, and lonely. Your music is therapeutic. Your beautiful strong black woman and I support and love what you do. Although I'll never understand what your life is like fully, since I am not black, or a woman, I am of color, Dominican and Puerto Rican, and have a single mother, so I know what it's like being treated differently, or being called something homophobic or racist, and so your music is just so healthy for me, I can listen to your album on repeat. I hope one day I can see you in person although I'm only fifteen, and I know your going to go places beyond where you are now. I love you so much ❤️❤️❤️
