Those half moon plates are vintage/antique bone plates. You set your used bones are them while dining .

You found some great things today. The lamp is beautiful. Would be fun to see you makeover the shade. I’m enjoying the little vignettes. Really adds to the shopping adventure seeing how things can work together. I loved the pressed flower “picture” that Zeb found in the more ornate frame Jami found. Paint the frame and you’ve got a winner.

I’ve heard that if you just paint over ceramics w/o treating it and putting it in the kiln again, whatever you put on it will scrape off with time.

Jami, those side dishes are bone dishes. Chicken was eaten with bone in and they’d put the bones on those dishes to clean off their plates.
