I’m so late to the party here, I don’t know if you even read these anymore, but if you do...THAT WAS SIMPLY EXCELLENT!! Must have taken you a long time to figure out, especially all the runs at the end. Hope you’re famous wherever you live (S. America?). Yup, just ripped it up, son. Great job!

This is absolutely brilliant man. Very accurate technique, got all the original fills and super tight sound. Great work.

THAT SHIT WAS BANGIN!!!! Zender is my 2nd greatest bass player only second to the great J.J. of the motown machine that changed music forever. But you sir made me want to pick up my bass again. I haven't touched it in years. Too wrapped up in my production work. This was actually one of the first basslines i tried to play when i got my bass. You killed it and you know it!!!!! you got other stuff?

hey. i love that kind of bass sound. the brilliant and sounding highs and especially the deep, warm and grolling lows. what do i need to create that sound? I have a fender vintage jazz bass and an Gallien Krueger 600 Backline. but the deep notes always sound to flat and brought with a to little strukture. if you know what i mean.
@dnoyolaf10 жыл бұрын
For this one I used the neck pickup on full, bridge pickup off... I remember these were Ernie Ball Super Slinky bass strings, relatively new. The EBS compressor is important for that tone, it was around 75% compressed and 75% gain on the tube simulation mode. EQ on the Behringer Xenyx mixer was pretty flat with a slight boost on lows and mids. The bass was a early 2000's MIA Standard Jazz. The signal was straight into the computer (no amps or dis or simulators). That problem with your low notes sounds like a need for a bit of compression and a slight boost on your lows. Maybe some better/newer strings could fix the problem, as well. Peace!
