In Punk Hazard there's no implication that Luffy is a Zoan user, Luffy simply tell Momo to transform back since Momo's fruit is zoan then Momo ask him how but Luffy said he doesn't know because he think he's not zoan type. I also don't think this is a foreshadowing since it's super vague implication (since his Zoan feels like Paramecia), the only implication we have for Luffy having Zoan DF is his gears powers (make him stronger by training and having different form of fighting which is zoan's user feature), Red Hawk/Red Roc and G4 cloud neck wrapper (which imply his DF is more than just rubber power).

There's something you have to understand about Gear 5: It's not an stylistic choice to have other character have cartoony reactions (like the jumpy eyes on everybody downstairs), IT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING. Just re-watch the scene of luffy getting out of Kaido's body by grabbing his nose THROUGH HIS DAMN EYES to pull himself... That has nothing to do with rubber, he should be blind but he isn't, you will see more of this reality warping near the end of the fight. Even Kaido himself comments on it, saying it looks like something out of a comic strip. The power of a Nika, God of the Sun is literally warping reality to match what Luffy thinks it's funny.

That doesn't bode well for the rest of One Piece in my opinion. If it's all this over the top cartoon craziness with the eyes popping out of their sockets and such, then the rest of One Piece will feel like a Tom and Jerry cartoon and I'd rather it doesn't get even more silly than it already is. I like when Luffy gets serious in battles and if it's all laughing nonsense every gear 5 transformation, and the seriousness is gone, then I worry the ending will suck.

One very disturbing and emotional part of this episode is that Luffy if forcefully causing his heart to beat to achieve G5 after it wears off. He forcefully does it by remembering all the people and Pedro especially. He can't go on any longer but if he falls on his knees then it's all over. All hope is gone. Kinda reminding me of Whitebeard now tbh. He was that symbol of strength and who everyone could look up to. Even after gaping holes and his face being blown off him still fighting to the very end to keep the hopes of his crew alive.

Because the debut of gear 5 is what people have been waiting on for months. A lot of people are already up to date on what's happening in the manga so like we already know what gonna happen, but we still wanted to see gear 5 when it first drops on screen. That is what the animators ruined with the unnecessary repetitions and poor animations. If 1071 had this well thought out animation everyone would have been happy. It's not hate per say, just disappointment at what could have been legendary.

Oda drew inspiration from the cartoon Tom and Jerry. Oda himself wanted to draw something funny and also wanted Luffy's fights to regain some funny elements, even though he was aware the general audience of One Piece would not like this concept because the general action sequences of contemporary Shonen manga are taken too seriously, causing the genre's uniqueness in the past to be lost over time. With the introduction of Gear 5, Oda wanted to create a polarity between Luffy's cartoonish humor and Kaidou's deadly seriousness.

Oda is the foreshadowing master. There's so many aspects of Luffy's power that can't be explained by him having a Rubber Paramecia, like his teeth being restored by drinking milk, or his Gum-Gum Red Hawk attack, or his ability to eat comically large amounts of food and instantly digest them to regain energy. It's just easy to overlook that stuff because it all fits within the comedic tone of the show, but those all stem from Luffy's ToonForce.

In punk hazard its not that momo thought luffy was a zoan, what happened was that momo as a dragon couldnt transform back to his normal human form and asked luffy for help and luffy was like "idk how to do that since im not a zoan" Edit: looked it up and he said "i dont know. The scene where he gets inside Kaido’s stomach and punches it from the inside is a big reference to an Indian god doing the same thing. And another reference is made in next episode w.r.t. same god. I loved it!! Also how Luffy fights which is so cartoonish because that’s how much ridiculously powerful he has become, affecting even the opponent’s body. He’s having fun,pure fun.

aslo in fishmen island, when jimbei was talking with luffy and co about what happenned to the world in 2 years ( marine, blackbeard.. ) he said that blackbeard was looking for strong devil fruits so they had to be carefull ! Then chopper said '' oh no im in trouble '' and ussop reply to him '' i dont think they need the Hito Hito no mi.. '' I think that was a forshadowing too Also at around 6:00 when we see him in the sky with the thunder, in a moment he had the EXACT same pose he had, when Norland and the 2 monkey guys were seeing Luffy shadow reflect from skypia after he ring the golden bell !
