the oak hybrid is so similar to the starclassic range of tama's. It actually almost reminds me of their discontinued bubinga starclassic kits. pretty sick diversity here.

But today's Starclassics has a thin shells and don't sound similar to Oak Hybrid that has a thick shells. Yamaha is louder and more aggressive.

There's a difference between all the sets you hear, but you feel it the most when you play. Of course, the skins also have a significant impact. I really like all the kits in the clip; they're all nice to play on. But as you can hear, I've adapted my playing to what I think suits the kit best in terms of genre.

He is playing the kit with 10x7, 12x8, 16x15 and 22x16 kick. Tours come in very limited sizes but can cover all the bases. They are actually my favorite sounding of the kits he played. Other sizes available are 14x13 floor tom or 20x15 kick.

What do people think about the second-to-last kit? It's the latest version of the Tour Custom, and I happen to own one. Curious to hear opinions.

I do not own one and haven't played a Tour Custom that many times but I remember it was super fun to play with it on this particular session. Well to be honest, it was super fun to play all those kits :) If I had a TC I'd probably use it for more Pop/Rock stuff....
