I learned this from Sam, either a recording or live somewhere, close to 50 years ago. I've been playing Sam's version (mixed into others) for all this time and much to my astonishment some of his licks here, and some of my own comport with one another. I did notice the conspicuous absence of that super-cool ultra-repetitive cross-bowing thing Sam used to do on the C-chord on the C and A strings....might have been a NGR live thing.....

@@stonewalljackson5223 I guess it's true what they say. Sarcasm doesn't come through well in text form. Yes, I'm very well aware of who Sammy B. is. I've had the pleasure of seeing him dozens of times at festivals, jamming with him once at a festival, and an even had the incredibly amazing time of, (although he won't remember me), going out to dinner with him, most of the Nash Rambles and Emmy Lou Harris in the early 90's in Ellicottville, NY after a weekend festival there. My very good friend Billy Constable, (who you should look into) was our mutual friend in common.
