I believe no other government could have done this in kashmir ,what Nda or Bjp has done . There was so much international pressure on India to restore article 370 , security situation in the country could have gone for a toss but now after almost 2 and a half year thing are looking good . It is a diplomatic victory for India and now countries like UAE are investing in Kashmir valley that will help in improving economy of Jammu and Kashmir

Mr. Modi's long term impact good policies (370, international diplomacy, Jan dhan, UPI, toilets, GST, PLI, Ujwala, tap water) outweigh his short term impact disastrous policies (demonitisation) in my opinion. Delaying the privetization project by 7 years and taking back farm laws were a disappointment. But overall the man is doing an good job and deserves to continue it in next term.

All long term plans have a actually got glaring loopholes. You must be a bhakt to say that without a doubt. 370 didn't bring peace, it just has been hogwash, nothing has improved in the valley since. Jan dhan accounts activity is something you should get data for. UPI has been a success but now that would have a charged across transactions, once the 200 rupee non internet sms based transaction is in place, toilets current situation is very much debatable, GSTs poor implementation is such that I don't need to say anything, Ujwala's refill rate abysmal , increase in price has more that 2x in 6-7 years has made it unaffordable, tap water ??? You need to check if it has picked up, it more like nami ganga which is just a advertisement and ghat cleaning money burner. Lastly demonitization is not short term, business that went busy haven't came back, 5 decades highest unemployment should a good metric to understand te impact of a foolish government which has legalised corruption and has little idea on governance. This leads to complete and utter disaster. India is less likely to become a strong economic power, human life indexes reflect the dilapidated state of the country.

You do not sell bullets to people who want to shoot you. I think if we manage to create a prosperous Kashmir, pakistan will go away by itself. A bit like how the west German prosperity caused the fall of Berlin wall. At present, due to lack of connectivity, trade with pakistan is desirable but once the all weather road and rail connectivity to rest of India's road and rail network is up, business with pakistan is not at all needed.

State governments don't have any constitutional authority to pass any such resolution regarding Central Government laws. Nahi pass karenge resolution to kya ho jayega? First, get the basics right. It's Jammu and Kashmir, not Kashmir. Also, the system is working at the most efficient level after the abbrogation of Article 370. Don't need elections till atlest 2030.

We will have to wait and watch whether Ladakh will be given statehood as well. Right now, it's not being considered in J&K assembly. So UT or state, most likely it will be different only.

Pakistan's propaganda arm is in full swing with PM Imran claiming of an ongoing genocide in Kashmir. The point is, let's stop acting as if we are a horny teen and Pakistan is the only prospect. Mere words & cosmetic solutions of which there have been many in the past, shouldn't be enough. Peace shouldn't be a luxury dispensed at the whims of Pakistan, peace should be the norm. War is never an option, but let's not dream of friendship with so little on offer.

@@BisboWorld Jammu has 37 lac voters. Kashmir has 40 lac voters as per 2019 Lok Sabha election. Kashmir gets more is only correct. Any ways I believe that Jammu Kashmir is getting messier, Government should partition the state on linguistic basis and either make Duggarland in Jammu part of Himachal or separate state. However, there is a sort of Gereymandering because even in Muslim majority districts in Jammu, majority constituencies are Hindu.
