damn, if this band came out just a few years earlier than when they released their first album in 1992, they could have been huge.
@caphowdy666 Жыл бұрын
As much as I love them, I very much doubt they would have been huge considering that Joels previous band Cats in boots were very similar, and that got a lot of promotion and still did not make it big.Was even on a big label as well and their worldwide debut was released in 1989 a year after their Japanese only EP/album. Heavy Bones got zero promotion and I didn't even find out they existed til about 7 or 8 years after the album came out. A band is never gonna have success if the record label does nothing to promote them.

Shame :-( ... Yet i was born in The wrong decade, im going back listening to 80s-90s as the music now compared back then is embarrassing.
@Phoenix_VanDerWeyden10 жыл бұрын
SabuPtolemy it´s quite sad actually , these bands from the 80´s had a lot of talent and a great musicianship , i´m 100% sure i was born in the wrong era ´cause 80´s Hard Rock and classical music is all i listen to :)
@TigressRare10 жыл бұрын
Phoenix Van Wyden I agree, i was born in the wrong decade. 80s was an amazing era music wise, i still come along discovering new bands everyday on u tube, just shows how much talent there was through out 80s early 90s.
@Phoenix_VanDerWeyden10 жыл бұрын
The same happens to me , i´m always being amazed by the talent of the 70´s and 80´s bands , great levels of musicianship , i wish there were a few bands like these today ... we´re part of the minority of young people today who love this type of music :)
@Phoenix_VanDerWeyden10 жыл бұрын
The sad thing is, for what i´ve been hearing and discovering the late 80´s had some really good bands that could´ve shaped the 90´s sound , Tora Tora , Wild side ,Badlands and many more , i wish these bands had stayed , we could be still listening to some great music today
@metalmanmike38154 жыл бұрын
I've said it before...and i'll say it again...the late 80's early 90's Hair Metal scene was amazing...sure so many bands you've probably never heard of, but so many labels were signing and releasing stuff that there was a gluttony of product...much garbage...but, a Slew of Kick Ass stuff...Heavy Bones for one...Trouble Tribe, Sleeze Beez, Princess Pang, Bad4Good, SouthGang, Slik Toxik, Sven Gali, Harem Scarem, Saints & Sinners, Beau Nasty, Dirty Looks, Cry Wolf, Electric Angels, Electric Boys, Johnny Crash, McQueen Street, Wildside and many many more...ROCK ON!!! \m/ \m/

Back when this came out, there was this song "4AM TM" which had lyrics of "another memory's callin" and another song was mainstream by Trouble called "Memory's Garden". Both GREAT rock/metal songs, but always got the two confused. Loved the 80's / 90's music (ROCK). \\m//

I saw these guys by happenstance at the Marquee club in So Cal....loved 'em. I don't think they split 'cause they couldn't get along. I think it was because they were lumped in with all of the "dime a dozen" crappy bands that were out there at the time........as a matter of fact I ran into Frankie Banali (the drummer) a few years ago, and he told me it was "a great band at the wrong time........" Anyway, awesome video, I had never seen it, have to go dig out my CD now and have a listen!

Formed by former Cats In Boots vocalist Joel Ellis and Gary Hoey in the early 90's. They recruited Rex Tennyson (bass, ex-Hellion) and Frankie Banali (drums,Quiet Riot). They recorded their debut with famed producer and session guitarist Richie Zito, but by 1992 the music scene wasn't very kind to sleazy metal bands. The video for 4:AM T.M. saw very limited airplay and the album shamefully sunk without a trace. Hoey would resume his solo career and Banali re-teamed with the revamped Quiet Riot.
