Briar is such a lovely animal, and these two have been doing this dance of dressage for many years. It is rumored that Briar will be retired this year, at 18 years old I think he deserves a good day on the pasture. :) World Cup-Kur '08.

The choise of music is just right. I think Briar is The Number One for a lot of people. Including me! He can always make me cry from pure joy when he's dancing. I can't wait to see him in the qualification round in the Olympics tomorrow.

Briar makes my heart melt. He seems like a lovely horse to work with! Jan is a lucky man. That they both can enjoy their retirment.

you can tell they both put their heart and soul into it, so fluid and rythmic. those two are always in perfect harmony. Briar deserves his retirment, after 17 years of beauty in the ring, hopefully he'll have many more in the feild

Briar will retire next year. This is his last year of competing, and he's 17 years old, not 18. I saw these two in Stockholm Horseshow a few days ago, they're truly amazing! I loved watching them. They came on sixth place when I watched them and on third the last day of the show.

im breeding my russian trankener mare to Briar as we speak! im so excited, i get a tear in my eye every time i think about it to hard, and watching jan and briar preform, no matter how many times, always floods my eyes w/ joy excitement, and anxiousness. Thanks to Dr. Molly d.v.m. at Tailwind Farms. Who went so far out of her way to not only answer all my texts over the last year about obtaining semen from Briar, but made it possible for me to have an imported trankener w.b. mare to do the honors of carrying this magnificent and legendary sires foal is a dream come true. not only am i getting the best dressage sire in the world but also a foundation mare who Molly personally has bred before and proven to produce exceptional offspring! thanks again Molly and Rebecca.
