Awesome solo. I didn’t even know that landau did some additional guitar work on this song until about a year ago, but ever since then it became more noticeable after hearing this song so many times.

Well I reached out to someone who certainly would know with 100% certainty and never heard back. Did more digging but never found an exact confirmation. So I felt the right thing to do was to give Jan the credit since my assumption from Richard Marx’s book is that the parts Michael Landau did were the lead rythym parts and not the solo. I included both in the descriptions of these videos across all the channels. 👍

@@sessionsolos I landed here in search of the answer to this exact question. Saw someone comment that Jan (RIP) was not the one playing lead on the album. Was hoping that was not the case. Any updates since?
