buyers beware, After my clicker immediately broke i found tons of complaints and other issues with maxel...i then spoke to their service rep and was treated unbelievably poorly.

I assume that you testing the reel on a rod and that you are looking at lbs, not kg on your scale. I would have you contact Maxel.

I have the 1st gen . I love and hate this reel bec of the clutch . Did they fix the cast ability of this reel .

You might want to reflect to Maxel USA that it is disappointing that the US version of the Maxel Hybrid doesn't come with magnetic cast control whereas other parts of the world like Italy, Greece, Hong Kong, Macau, etc do. In fact, in some countries they also have magnetic cast control on their Transformer model too.

I got the maxel 20 version from you guys last year, and just wondering is it possible that the 25 has a lower retrieve then the 20. On your site it is listed that the 25 has 31 inches per crank while the 20 has 38. I might be considering getting the 25 for more line capacity but not if it has a lower retrieve rate as it is kinda important when fishing deeper. Is this just a mistype or does it in fact have a lower retrieve? Thanks, Marcin

Maxel HY25 vs Shimano Torium HG TOR16HGA. Which is best for deep jigging in California for Yellowtail, lingcod, bass? I want to use megabaits, knifejigs, butterfly jigs. 3-6oz. Fishing deep 100ft-200ft..... maybe i should just buy both. :)
