There aren't many shaft driven Garden tractors for sale today. I think John Deere and Cub Cadet still sell a shaft driven models today.

You can. I just bought a very nice, low hour 1920 last month from the original owner. It has the 3 point and hydraulics and came with the tiller and snowblower. The deck is still in its crate and has never been used. I found it on Craigslist and drove a little over an hour to pick it up. The price? $1800 cash. The owner was in his 80s and had decided to move to an assisted living center. He was selling his stuff (in his own words) "Before my kids and grandkids sell it all for scrap".

You can, it's the Simplicity Legacy 4wd and 31hp Briggs vanguard with no diesel available are standard as well as ROPS they've basically converted it to an entry level compact tractor. But for the price of it you can get a kubota bx, a Mahindra emax 20 or john deere 1 series which honestly I'd have either of those for the simple reason that you get a diesel, the option for rear hydraulics and over more tractor like construction then the legacy. Update I found out the legacy has been discontinued

I have one of the Simplicity 12hp manual transmission tractors from 1991 with the blower bagger, and it's still runng strong in 2023.

Sunstar & this are the same thing, both made by Simplicity. You know the marketing people take liberty with words like "exclusive" all the time, LOL. I have a DA 1920 & it is pretty much all the promo says it is.
