I have a nice 262xp I bought at a tractor show cheap, no scoring. Now do I keep it stock, muffler upgrade, port, I don't really cut wood but love fixing and hopping them up. Love the channel and your vids!

Husky 394 carb fits nicely and takes little modifications to fit. it's bigger yet than the 272 carb. If you really want a nasty saw put one of them on your 2 series saws. The 395 is external impulse but the 394 is internal.

A lot of good info there. Thanks for taking the time. I have a 272xp and 038 mag 2. I feel like the 272xp will run eat the 038 for lunch.

No doubt the carb and air filter setup kinda hold the 038 back imo and the huskies always have better port timing

I just bought a early 268xp. Shes all oem. Plastic is all good except for small crack in top cover. I did buy a new oem top cover from The Dukes. I wanted 2 ask if my 268xp has the bigger carb on it? Its a Tillotson and u adjust it thru the case. It is missing thr flywheel shroud n i believe it has the one piece coil. So im wondering if it came like that or if someone switched it over many yrs ago

Great video, i own early 266SG, i did replace all crank seals, av mounts, fuel line, new carb kit, but still having running issues that, it dies when u flip saw on the clutch side, it passed/pressure vacuum test ok, not sure what's wrong with it 🤷

Make sure the strainer and fuel line are properly laying in the tank
