I have to be honest, today the dummy swallowed the rat looked kind of fake (I totally bought it as a kid in 1983 though), but even now the latex neck REALLY works. It looks like she swallowed it and it is going down her throat! Amazing!

That was brilliant. I enjoyed the old woman 'christmas dinner' clip. I have never seen that before. I don't know if it made the screen or was cut. Maybe it was in the series with Nathan Bates, I only watched that series once at the time it was on TV back in the 80's. I have the box set but don't bother watching that dvd because it is nowhere near as good as the others. Jane Badler looks fantastic here.

Yeah, the V Christmas episode is a mixed bag, but they did choose a great scene to showcase. Still sad that the show had cost $1 million per episode despite the effects reuse and reverb removal. The weekly series started well enough, but the show lost its way. Episode 14 is almost a reboot, but ratings did not recover.
