I have seen several adaptations, but I love this best. Hinds played a Rochester desperately hungry for pure love and innocence brilliantly. Having fallen in love with Jane, He would do anything to secure the hand of Jane, who . stood for the values he once had but lost as a result of his. disastrous and deceitful marriage. He was not a handsome Rochester, but he brought out the pain, desperation and sufferings of a man who had had a seriously raw deal from a young age.

I love this couple best, even the version in 2011 is far behind. I love Ciaran Hint and all the conversations. He plays so well, even he is not handsome, but i fall in love with him.

Does anyone know where to find a music box specifically like that one 1:55? I've searched long and wide on the internet. All I've found was Reuge Danseurs on a single motor, instead of individual ones, which meet face to face every so often. To me this symbolises a higher scope, that of a lifelong relationship. Although, each one might be facing different difficulties, all their movements (actions) are done as a couple. Beautiful!

Did you find out? All the reuge danseur I found don't play that specific music. They also don't dance individually (individual motor), I'd prefer the version used in the film.

Samantha is good but Ciaran overacts. He comes across as a bully and abusive. Too forceful. Needs to tone it down. Also very one dimensional. Its always explosive anger, never anything else. Reminds me of Kenneth Branagh is his own version of Hamlet.
