I've said it before but the AFL CIO is a disappointment. I almost wish they would split and maybe we could get the old CIO back. I have been a member of labor's international, association of flight attendants and I'm a member in good standing international alliance of theatrical stage employees, local one and local 26. My kin do not see the importance of helping the working class, with few exceptions. It seems the more secure they become with a good wage and pension the more they want better wage and pension for themselves and not so much anyone else. I was ecstatic to hear you talk about railroad workers striking for national health Care. That is the thinking we need and I am so glad to hear you articulate it. Sarah Nelson and Jane mcalevy are really the heroes of labor at this moment! Peace love and solidarity!

Let's bring back International workers day to the US. Labor Day was a political creation when it moved from May 1st and changed its name. I for one celebrate workers.

Unions are more important than ever. Our governments no longer represent the worker citizenry. An industry collapses or is exported and our government representatives are either unaware or if aware do nothing, the stock market sneezes the financial system crashes due to corporate greed and the government runs with a basket of citizenry tax money for a bail out.
