Zhang is incredible. In the original movie opera singer Albanian Inva Mula voiced the audio but she could not hit the notes as written in cadence. They had her sing each individual note and synthesized them together to get the quick and dramatic changes.

Don't know why she needs to sing in English to be popular here in the states. I listen to her & Dimash sing this in Mandarin(is it?) and think they both sound amazing. I'm to the point now, that I think trying to sing in English would diminish their performance.

The thing about the impossible to sing by human bit is in the pop section of the performance there is a section of the Diva Song that they had to sample the singers voice and play it on the keyboard. Jane Z. had to slow it down half a step to sing it. No less a remarkable accomplishment, she is a once in a generation singer.

Nice reaction video. I've actually watched several performances of that song today and yesterday by various people and while even the worst of them was still impressive this one is actually by far the best, not counting the one actually in the movie which was quite obviously computer enhanced. The second best performance I've come across, again excluding the computer enhanced version from the movie, is actually a video of this same person rehearsing. There's at least one specific note that every other performance missed completely, as in it wasn't even there, and quite a few others varying from one performance to another which were either left out, off pitch, or substituted. Again, I must stress that even the worst performance I came across, which out of respect for the talented performer I will not specifically identify, was still quite impressive. I would like to think if I practiced this song extensively I could do as good as some of them, but there's no way I could hope to come close to this one. She simply did an excellent job. Nailed it. Without a doubt. It's hard to even imagine a human being doing better without computer enhancement. I think that's what people mean when they say this song was written to be impossible for a human to sing. in the movie its clear certain parts were played on the keyboard using voice samples..hence certain parts would be impossible to sing cause of the distance of certain sounds and just how quickly they jump from very low notes to super high..she didnt get ir perfecrtly right like it was in the original ..but pretty damn close

PicciRam no. It was someone else. Since it was an alien singing this song. They had to make the aliens vocals very unique and difficult to sing. That's why others call this song impossible. But it's not it's just very hard😂

@@deezire2811 In the film they used multiple vocalists and samples/digital effects. It is impossible for a single human vocalist to sing it perfectly as it was written as a solo live performance. The composer said he deliberately wrote it so that no one person could sing it perfectly as written because the whole point of the sequence in the film was that it was being performed by an alien not a human.

Yeah, Jane Zhang (Liangying Zhang) is a pop singer. Here is some of her performance as a pop singer, kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3mTlZ6bl66neKc. In this video, she sang mostly Chinese songs. At 13:30 and 26:23 she showed some of her skills in her voice. At 19:36 and 38:26 she sang English songs.

I have seen a video where a man analazy the song and he says also Dimash makes a couple of simplifications! Lika a staccato on the same note instead of a scale or a voice less higher in a certain point. Look at this video and make some investigations. I think it is irrilevant considering he has sang better than anyone not just that two parts but everything!!!

its one is not the best rendition of the song, as far as i remember, the original was sang by 2people 1male and 1 female, mixed together via computer. so skipping all that.. its awesome what she did there. it leaves the dimash version far behind (i know i dont make many friends with that statement, but its my opinion.. he sings higher,.. she sings better). nice reaction even if i am late :)
