I just used a Olaplex kit which included No 0,3,4 and 8!! I loved it you guys. You must start with clean hair. NO products. my hair was dry and breaking. After I did the "treatment" my hair was so soft and barely had any shedding. Please try it. Blessings

I found that since No 0 is just the bond treatment ingredient and doesn't have any clinging ingredients like No 3, though they say damped hair is adequate I will go in and clarify my hair with a chelating shampoo first. Women with curly hair, esp coming out of a protective style are going to have more buildup on the strands. I think the instructions were more for women with straight hair who tend to shampoo more frequently and therefore have very little build-up/use less product. I saw MUCHHH better results this way. Made me feel like it was worth the price.

@@AB-zh1xk that's what I do. I typically wash my hair just once a week (5-10 day) and with environmental buildup and my styler from the previous week I find there is too much on my strands. Even more because I only use my olaplex now if I had to stretch time in between washes or was out in the sun. I just do a quick clarifying shampoo then apply my olaplex 0 & 3. When I go back in the shower I do my second shampoo with a moisturizing shampoo, condition and style. You could use olaplex shampoo if you want

I really appreciate that you said aphogee ain't did you wrong. I went and purchased this Olaplex at cosmoprof after having it done in the salon and I asked one of the cosmetologists there if it was a protein treatment and they said yes it was. I wish more stylists would be more forthcoming about that to some of us because it is expensive for the amount of hair that many of us have and really, mielle's protein conditioner helped me more and I am able to dilute that with conditioner and get the balance I desire.

Olaplex isn’t necessarily a protein treatment but it does work on a molecular level to restore and rebuild hair…similar to Aphogee. I try to be as transparent as possible so that viewers can make the best decision for their buck! 💕

Yeah, Olaplex is in it’s own lane, this is a patented formula that replaces broken Disulphide bonds to rebuild the hair. This is not a protein treatment, protein takes care of the cuticle and makes the hair look shiny. You can use protein and Olaplex in your routine, I personally do this and Olaplex recommends this. I'm still babying my last bottle of Dudley's DRC 28 and searching for a protein treatment that is an alternative to Aphrogee. I'll use it if I have to but I really like protein treatments that do not make the hair rock hard during the treatment phase as Aphrogee does. Olaplex for me is a luxury product, and I don't feel the need to use a bond repairer when I can use a protein treatment and get all the benefits that I need at a much better price point. Plus although Olaplex is the most well known it isn't the only bond repairer and some of the others have a better price point.

Hi it’s not a waste 0 is meant to be used with 3. You apply 0 let it sit for 10 minutes.,then apply 3 on top of it & let that sit for another 10 minutes, that’s your treatment, then rinse , shampoo with number 4 & condition with 8& let it sit 10 minutes & rinse. Follow with 6 & 7.That’s the way to use the product. 0 was never meant to be used alone. I’m a certified OLAPLEX Stylist. I hope this has helped you!

Hey Onicia sis! 👋🏾 Thanks for watching! This line has only been around since the mid-2010's but has gained more traction with the tighter coiled curly girls in recent years. I definitely recommend a treatment of some sort at least once every 4-6 months or so depending on the health of the hair. Some do it more or less, I just say don't overdo it avoid protein or keratin overload. It's like a facial for your hair! 🤎
