This is such an introspective version - if you hadn't heard the original you would think that this song is complete, is how it 'should' be. But then, when you did see the original, plus video, it would just do your head in hearing the white hot rage behind the lyrics and the execution of the song. In this version above, check out Perry's expression at 3.21 - so sad, so full of regret, and when he later ad libs "Baby, take care...", well, it just made me cry... Amazing song, amazing band....

Perry was reflecting on his past in this version and showing his remorse because he is a good soul. I never see this kind of reversion of a song to express true feelings after the fact in other artists….same lyrics, a tiny bit of sweet words and improvising make it truly sincere and not another fake remix. Dave was great on acoustic guitar with his strong and soft tones reflecting the mood and bass and percussion went right along with the tones of this sweet version of Just Because seem soft and truly sincere. I love it and listen to it often!

I'm in love with this version of the song. It works so well in a delicate manner - and this is with my already enjoying the power of the original. I would actually like to cover this version live in a set of my own original, which is saying a lot of good. This is a BRILLIANT version of one of my favorite Jane's songs. Dave's acoustic guitar playing is beautiful. And Cheney's bass playing is skillful. Not to mention Perkins' amazing percussion. Perry's vocals are beautiful, too. Loving this! Putting this in my "favorites" playlist right now.

Ever notice that the bands that came out during the '90's are all gone? You don't even hear much about Korn, Limp Bizkit, and people don't even get all excited about SlipKnot anymore. He's technically a better bass player than Eric Avery, but Eric's style/songwriting produced more compelling music; he just fits Jane's like a glove while Chaney is more of a reactive player to their style.

this song was realy good. this version is much better than the album version which was boringly produced. I think they have gone on too long now. like REM they will never be great again. I think this may be their last fine moment. i still love them though
