Such an incredibly beautiful and moving aria which, despite the high tessitura as noted below, shows off Dame Janet as her eloquent best. I prefer this to the "Deh Vieni" that's usually performed.

She does an amazing job with it, but why that cadaverously slow tempo? As with the other aria that goes in its place, you never say "hurry" slowly!
