What I'm saying is, the article looks to be framed as a regular interview, but it has undertones of a hit piece. The headline states "I shouldn't believe people around me," followed by Janet repeating lies she "heard" by an unnamed source. Add that to the sarcastic tone weaved throughout the interview plus the journalist asking a direct question about the political climate in America (which I'm now hearing she wasn't supposed to ask about, but asked anyway), and it reads like a hit piece, disguised as a nuanced, introspective interview. Janet has been in the game too long, and is FULLY responsible for knowing basic facts before going into an interview, but the interview as a whole looks sketch to me. In the end, Janet should know and do better going forward.
