Janet is one of the most influential artist of the last 35 years. Often imitated but never duplicated. She doesn’t get the credit she deserves.

No one overshadowed Janet Jackson in the 90s you just wasn’t aware of it! My generation knew how epic she was and still is till this day. It’s because of that damn Super Bowl is why you don’t hear about the greatness of Janet Jackson like you should.

Missing from the list: Miss You Much, The Knowledge, Love Will Never Do (Without You), Alright, Escapade, You Want This, Whoops Now, What'll I Do!!! Both from "Rhythm Nation 1814" and "Janet".

Black Cat was from her Rhythm Nation tour....the most successful debut tour Ever...still today....love me some Janet.

You explained how the choice came about but like some others said before, the list is definitely missing Alright and Love Will Never Do. They're both iconic in their own ways whereas Black Cat is just a staged concert performance.

Ok now you need to go back and check these bombastic videos from RHYTHM NATION that you disliked: - MISS YOU MUCH (with the chair routine at the end of the video) - ESCAPADE (her greatest international hit from that album) - ALRIGHT (one of the best music video ever, paying homage to past musicals) - LOVE WILL NEVER DO WITHOUT YOU (which inspired Michael Jackson's In The Closet video) Janet is one of the most if not the most underrated artist ever. The leading female artist no doubt

I'm verrryyy happy that you appreciate Janet's music videos. The music videos for Alright, Love Will Never Do, You Want This, Miss You Much and the live performances for Escapade and Control are actually more impressive even than some of the videos you featured here. Also recommend the Control era videos. I think you'll like janet. sonically more than RN1814, but I think you'll like The Velvet Rope even more.

Just a fact: Again was nominated for an Oscar. It was part of the "Poetic Justice"soundtrack. That movie was a #1 blockboster directed by Jon Singleton and starred by Janet and Tupac Shakur

Shocked shocked shocked no Love Will Never Do Without You video!! It's directed by Herb Ritts who did the iconic trifecta including this, plus Cherish (Madonna), and Wicked Game (Chris Isaak). Escapade is also a fun video. Rythm Nation video has arguably the best choreography in a music video ever, right up there with Thriller.

OMFG! Whoever told you to watch those videos from Rhythm Nation needs their head read haha! You must watch Miss You Much, Escapade, It's Alright and Love Will Never Do Without You. They along with Rhythm Nation are the iconic music videos to watch of hers. Not Black Cat or Come Back To Me with the most basic boring videos in comparison to those 5. Gotta do it Ben, you'll see what we mean once you watch them. You only watched 1 of the 5 amazing ones that made Rhythm Nation so strong.

Hi Ben again. I'm so glad you decided to continue your Janet exploration. Your positivity and honesty make your reviews a joy to watch. I love "If" as well. It is amazing to see live. I would highly recommend you watch the video to "Make Me" and also give a listen to the album version of "Anytime, Any Place." The video version you just watched is a remix and I do not like it as much as the original. Great job as always my friend and of course ROCK ON BROTHER!!!

You have to react to all of Janet Jackson's music videos from the Control album era: What Have You Done For Me Lately, Nasty, When I Think Of You, short film version of Control, Let's Wait Awhile and The Pleasure Principle. And you should react to the short film Rhythm Nation 1814 which has Miss You Much with the chair dance you have to see, The Knowledge and Rhythm Nation. This is a short film that tells a story that is still relevant for today. You need to react to Escapade (which has her infectious smile), Alright (which is an homage to the 30s and 40s eras with cameos by Cab Calloway, Cid Charise and The Nicholas Brothers) and Love Will Never Do (Without You) which was directed by fashion photographer Herb Ritts who was a regular photographer for Madonna. You have to react to her Janet. album before reacting to the music videos but oh well. But you can react to her last single for the Janet.album You Want This. And react to her live performances on TV for her first 2 albums and the albums themselves and her TV performances for her Control, Rhythm Nation and Janet. albums and on. But definitely react to her Rhythm Nation Tour and her Janet. Tour and on.

It's so funny because I was going to comment in one of your previous videos that do you love that new song by Troye Sivan… and his whole album was inspired by Janet Jackson. He's talked about it many times, and you can see her choreography influence there. So I was like," He's 'vibing' off of troye Sivan, Play the music was inspired by material he was hating on." 😂😂😂

Man, so glad u reacted to more Janet. Awesome and genuine reaction. Would def love to see you do more Janet. Check out the Janet album for sure but forsure check out the Velvet Rope album and videos. The album is an experience. Also, the "Because of Love" video was done that way because she was on a 2 year tour of the Janet album and she couldn't fit it into her schedule - and the record company wanted another single.

I thought you would not do it, since you couldn't really stand the Rhythm Nation album. 🤣🤣🤣 You should've also reacted to Love Will Never Do (Without You) from the Rhythm Nation album. It's kind of a missing link between Rhythm Nation and Janet albums. Also, her SNL performance of Throb is awesome and sexy.

Hey!!!! Because Of Love is a highlight for me off the Janet album. Grew up with that album. With this album she had more creative and artistic control with the production. The album was more about love and Janet showcased a lot of sex appeal. TTWLG was the biggest hit on the LP. A classic and smooth track with a chilled mv. If has always been my fave, including the breakdown dance. Again earned her, Jam & Lewis the Oscar nod for Best Original Song. From her debut movie Poetic Justice. Another #1 hit with a romantic mv. In concerts, Janet allows the fans to sing back her during the first verse and it is memorising. One of her best ballads. Glad you viewed some of her mv including Come Back To Me which I mentioned before was a highlight for me on RN. Keep viewing more of her other videos and listen to her other records. Ms Jackson is truly a visionary and the pioneer of these incredible videos. She reigned during the MTV era from Control through to All For You. Amazing and totally unforgettable. A wonderful body of work. ❤️📼

On the last song/video, the ones that are watching her are older people, remembering when they used to do that and wished for those days again. “Black Cat” is definitely a very large change for her and it’s one of my favorite songs. It is down right hard rock and roll. I tried to get rock and roll radio stations in Dallas to play it. They said that yes, it is a rock song and a damn good one, but Janet wasn’t on their prescribed play lists. So they didn’t have copywriter permissions to play it. I was sure wanting a new audience to discover her talents and that one should have been it! “If I was your Woman”, the one in Chinatown, has the best choreography!! So sensual and yet so dominating. He may get want he wants, but only if she allows it. That’s what I call “Control”!

I’m glad you enjoyed but honestly Black Cat and CBTM are the least interesting videos from the album 😅 Alright and Love Will Never Do are insanely good. And you should read the lyrics to “If,” you’ll die. After you complete the RN and Janet eras (you missed “You Want This” from Janet), I’ll be very excited for you to react to The Velvet Rope era.

Janet was a bit of a flop in Australia until she released the single Black Cat. It was that song that pushed the Rhythm Nation album up the Australian charts. It was also Molly Meldrum’s influence that she ended up releasing Love Will Never Do as a single. It became a hit in Australia but went to Number one in the US. I became a big fan when she released the Janet Album and still rate That’s The Way Love Goes as the turning point in her career and one of my all time favourite songs.
