Fun to hear your thoughts when making selections! I take even less when I travel; then wish I had more 😊 Have a great time. Hope we see a Japan video when you are back home

Prepping your pages with color is such a fantastic idea. I completely relate to the intimidation of blank pages, I'm definitely trying it out!!

I just got back from a trip to Japan but not enough time to explore Tokyo, however I made a point of getting to Tokyo Station and Narita Airport Traveler's Factory stores. It was so beautiful and amazing. I also collected some Eki stamps wherever I could! Love your channel from Australia :)

Loved this video! Thanks for sharing your travel setup. I had a similar mindset when I visited Japan a year ago - "what if I run out of glue or some stationery...? Oh wait, I can just buy more because I'll be in Japan" 😂 Hope you have a wonderful trip!

I have a trip with journaling friends coming up in May and don‘t know if I can pair down as much as you did! What I would love to know is which nib size you are using in the TWSBIs and are they both the same nib? For writing I prefer F or EF, depending on how the nib is coated - I‘ve got an EF TWSBI in roségold that is just *chef‘s kiss* my fav fountain pen nib, although I even have Sailors 😂 Thanks for sharing Jane, it‘s always great to see a video of yours!

Going on a trip soon and am paring down. I won’t have time to stop and print along the way, so I am on the fence about bringing my aging Canon Ivy. I thought I could bring the blue sheet that calibrates the printer to leave space for the photos and then stick them in when I get back.

It is difficult to pare down to bare minimal journaling supplies for travel. I like your choices.

Really enjoyed everything you packed for journalism in Japan. I don’t usually do that but since I’m planning to visit Japan and collect eki stamps i thought why not just journal my adventure. Wanted to ask where you got the small ink pads?? I been looking at amazon and most small one are for kids and only have big available and I don’t wanna carry 4 or 5 of them in different colors since I know most eki stamps have either blue green black red or purple colors.
@Janethecrazy7 ай бұрын
I like the ones from Shachihata, but I can't find the smaller ones on Amazon, only the larger ones, like this: amzn.to/4a3IvpK If not, I suggest you can buy them directly at their stationary stores, such as Sekaido, Tokyu Hands, or Loft, as I showed in my recent Japan vlogs.

This video was really helpful, I wanted to ask a question like for example which has to be checked in and which can be hand carried onto the plane. I was planning to bring my fountain pen, watercolor and some film rolls to japan but I wasn't sure. Any advice?

Thanks for watching! Just no sharp items on carry ons. And i dont bother about my films because they are all low iso films

I am going to japan in a month!! I am a journaller too. I didn't know it was so easy to print photos in japan. I can just go to the convenience store? Is there anything I should know in order to do this?
@Janethecrazy7 ай бұрын
Yea you can print photos/postcard by yourself using the machine in 7-11/Lawson/Family Mart! U just need to download the app into your phone before that (which will be indicated on the machine's screen) whichever u will b using

And do you bring that everyday in your backpack while exploring everything? For me it is getting so heavy with the camera, go pro, selfiestick,u brella and waterbottle. Haha. I dislike that more and more. So last month in Tokyo I only brought my TN for the stamping during The day.
@Janethecrazy8 ай бұрын
Yes. They are light. But I still have two body camera and 3 lenses 🤪 So usually I'll carry a bagpack

Oh really?@@Janethecrazy Respect. I am also a photographer for a living and for traveling I want to be as light as possible nowedays. Workgear stays at home, haha. In the past I also brought more lenses etc.
