The bad thing about the Psilencers spread shot is that A) you can't overwatch with the Psilencer and B) spread shot will damage all targets including friendly knights whereas the Psycannon ability doesn't hurt friendly knights so you have to be a bit more careful. Also, I'm jealous of that purity seal of precision, all the wargear rewards I've been getting are garbage

But it, grenades and environment are the only AoE options without using Willpower.

@@christopherg2347 True, which is why I didn't say it was garbage but it does have bad points when it comes to aoe, also the aoe is blocked by cover which can limit it even more, it's basically a single target weapon with emergency aoe if needed. On missions where you can't use WP it's amazing not so much for its WPless aoe but simply its ammo/range

It also has an amazing reach + disrupt shot to stop overwatch/suppression from enemy units. Each gun has a great reason to be used... with the flamer being questionable.

@@zihkar Flamer is the weapon of the advanced class I think but I haven't unlocked them yet so can't say with certainty and yes what you said is true but my comments were basically pointing out that it was bad at aoe due to a number of factors. Personally, I prefer the Psilencer over Psycannon as the cannon is kind of a one-trick pony whereas the other is good at single damage, stunning/disruption, and eventually support with the auto you can unlock, I guess you could argue Psycannon can be good single target damage once you get 1 of the ammo upgrades and even more when you get the auto-reload though that is only 50% at base unlike the Psilencer auto which is 100%

@@zihkar I like the Disruption shots onto Plague Bearers that got Resurrection. It is a Auto too. The parry and Melee overatch being blocked is a nice bonus. Flamers specialty is the alternate fire mode. It creates a fire hazard and flames are armor piercing, Deploy it against melee enemies in a chokepoint, and they might literally kill themself trying to get to you...

As for other races, I think the mechanics would have to match: - the other chaos gods would be obvious choices. They share the corruption and warpsurge mechanics. The only thing that has to change would be their units bonuses - Orks are a odd option. If you replace Warp Surges with "Waaaagh Surges", which is buffed by you killing them. And them spreading their spores is kinda like corruption - Eldari could use a "Predicted Tresholds" instead. The longer you take, the more time their predictions have to be made or come true. And they are notoriously stealthy, so a infiltration mechanic However, the Grey Knights are specifically for fighting Demons. So any other major faction will only be something they encounter on the side. Need one of the other Inquisitional Forces. Deathwatch is allied to the Ordo Xenos.

I don't feel the need to have any new campaigns or anything like that added, but I'd be really pleased for neutral foes to show up like Orks in a similar manner to the "Lost" from Xcom2. There was actually a mod that did that, but it's a great way to introduce a new faction without having to build an entire campaign around it. It would be a nice twist on the standard mission objectives :)

@@JanetOnOccasion I doubt they will create a full unit roster for neutral forces. More likely any new campaign adds a faction that can then appear as neutrals. That being said, the plague is said to be specific to humans. So any other species might have secured a shard without being affected by them. Even other demon followers.

I never suggested that they would create a full roster. I strongly doubt that's their plan. I figure they'd treat the DLC like Xcom did and augment the existing campaign with new variables, if they do any at all. I think people are setting themselves up for disappointment by assuming otherwise, honestly. It's fun to speculate at the possibilities, though :)

Whe Ectar says he's no ancient he isn't talking about his age but rank. Ancients are the company standard bearers and seemingly also keepers of lore. Also. you still have a sword that you could've equipped on the justicar.

I've searched for like an hour and can't find the answer to this. Do you ever have ship battles or get to control the ship in any fights? I don't see any indication of it but the upgrades for the ship make it sound like there are ship battles?

I was looking forward for the game when it showed some gameplay clips on the studios channel. But seeing the gameplay on its full release, the size of the modules, the animations and map view. I'm kind of disappointed. The game does not meet the standard of its benchmark gametype Xcom 2. Which came out 2016....

I've been saving team teleport for when the game forces extraction. Using my intercept to tele/run away for sight range and then moving my entire team far away from the enemy. Extremely strong for getting out when the game tries to warp 3 reinforcements on you all at once.

I'm really starting to think he doesn't know you can customize each character and even rename them. It's not a big deal but personally I'd like to see some variation in characters.

Thanks, but that's literally my issue. It's like only displaying health when you're taking damage, or only showing willpower when you're using it. The UI consistently tells us that our Swords don't require reloading but doesn't bother to have an ammo counter for weapons that actually need it.

@Peter Davis Gazgul was healed by having his head put back on a different orks body and and apparently that's a rule not the exception. Add to the fact that ork doctors operate at an 18th century level of medicine I'd say I could see an ork shrugging off losing an arm by Ramin the stump into a gun or power klaw.

Just got to the point in this game where I've done the green and yellow boss. I had to make two attempts on the green boss, and he actually taunts you for 'coming back for more,' which is just hilarious.
