The guitar+ mandolin combo is great but i also do love the bouzouki+ mandolin combo from some earlier arrangements. As a bouzouki/mandolin/violin player myself (though very much a poor one),, its great to hear them come together this way.

For anyone else who was curious about Jon's tunings, I believe it's CGCFCD for the first two songs, and CGCFGC (the same intervals as DADGAD but down a whole step) for the last two.

No amps, loopers, pedal boards or p.a.'s. Only pure music from the heart, and played and sung masterfully. A new fan from the Colonies!

I saw them first at (?) Bromyard Folk Fest, unkowns to me, the highlight of the festival for me. Saw Jon Winning Young Musician of the Year. PS: New album ordered instantly. These two are what contemp folk music should - is - about.

Another superb performance. Lovely rendition of the Irish traditional 'As I Roved Out' (immortalised by the great Andy Irvine and Planxty). I long to see you two live, but unfortunately no longer live in the UK. As a former hunt saboteur, I wholeheartedly applaud your pro-animal stance. Interesting that 'laeverick' is the Scots word for lark. I live in the Netherlands and speak Dutch, and the Dutch word for lark is 'leeuwerik'. Indeed, there are several Scots words that are similar or identical to Dutch words. Another example is kirk (Scots) and kerk (Dutch).

Absolutely gorgeous! But I'm getting a sore arm just looking at whoever is holding that microphone so still 😆
