Janice!!! We checked out Panda Yum Cha @macquariepark and it was ridiculously good 🔥. AMAZING recommendation! That Prawn Katsu Sando looks bomb, added to the list!

is it malay chinese in wynyard? if it is you should also try their ha mee (the prawn noodles) i really like it! though it has a very strong smell of prawns so might not be for everyone

Sushi train at the galleries ? I sometimes go there and see whether yayoi or hotaru has a longer line and go to the one with less wait time 😅

That made me hungry. Miss Japan so much. My favourite is Okonomiyaki from Hiroshima. We found this building that has 3 or so floors of restaurants dedicated to Okonomiyaki. Each one does their own spin. So delicious. When C@vid is over, hopefully the Matsuri Festivals in Sydney returns, great chance to try Japanese street food.

Made the trip in to Sandoichi myself a few months ago, well worth it! that camera flash must have went off half a dozen times in the short period i was there though. Roku gin is top quality stuff also.

@@JaniceFung pork sando with yuzu-carrot-orange juice! I usually can't stand seaweed but it was great on that sandwich. Roku I drink oldschool with tonic and a wedge of lime.

I wish these Covid rules would calm down so I could go to Sydney and try these places. Brisbane has some great places too but there seems to be a lot more down there.

Love Sandoitchi. The Prawn Katsu my favourite. There Salad Bowls are great and also their coffee.

@@JaniceFung we have a few up on the central coast now too, very nice food but not the range of Yurippi. A tiny little Japanese restuarant opened up at Long Jetty so we went there a few days ago ... had the yummiest pork belly bits in a miso sauce.

@@JaniceFung the Long Jetty restuarant is Yasaka its only small but nice food. Did you already go to Yurippi? Im not usually a vegetarial type but I could eat the little cabbage, kombu and sesame side all day.

This makes me miss Sydney so much! All these amazing food options especially Asian cuisine! I had Okonomiyaki at the same place you did just a week before the lockdown last year and mine was with Wagyu beef (I think they call it the Genki Dama) and it was so good and if you like Japanese beer I had the Orion and it was so tasty and refreshing a definite recommend for a hot day. There are no Japanese restaurants where I live , I would have the pork sandwich that's is one big sandwich . It's hard to believe 12 months ago there was no lockdown, no masks , and we could travel will we ever see this again . Always interesting and informative videos. highly recommend the katsu sandwich at cafe kentaro in surry hills, its a bit of trek to get there but its worth it!

How would you rate the bread for sandoitchi? Japanese sandwich is not just about the filing but the bread is as important too and it should be soft and fluffy

Japanese "Sandi Itchi" is a kind of original food culture in Japan. Same as "Ramen" or "Hamba-ga(Hamburger)". 😁

No Japanese restaurants were I live but the prawn sandwich looked delicious :-) Local IGA supermarket at Mulwala has a sushi selection which I get 3 times per week really good.

The bread needs to be better than white, say dark rye, sough dow, focaccia, etc Can you mention the price. Mid 40s Sydney situated next to Alice springs 😅😂🤣

I thought I did mention the price ? The sandwich was were 13-15 and the soba set was around 21 and the okonomiya is around 24

If you ever go to Hiroshima one day you have to try their Okonomiyaki. They have their own way to prepare and it is different than the ones you can eat in Osaka. Some say that Hiroshima is the birth place of the Okonomiyaki but Osaka people say the opposite! At 7:04 you say Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls... You forgot to add gender neutral !!! We never know in this new crazy world, some might be offended 😜!!!

The prawn and corn sandwich looks very appetizing. We have the egg salad sandwich and fruit sandwich at a Japanese take out in Canada. I am not too fond of the fruit sandwich.

Not sure why there's always a cut away when biting/eating the food and cutting back to you chewing. I find it so incomplete. Don't want to be negative but its like Sheldon's incomplete knocking sequence.
