I would LOVE to see you rank all the songs that Dave Murray either wrote or co-wrote. They almost all have something different about them, something kind of special. Personally, his songs I feel are awesome! Thanks, in advance, for doing a review of Dave's songs!

Over the last few years, Dance of Death has risen to my favourite Maiden song period. The drama and storytelling, paired with the rumpus energy, and the soulful solos. Goosebumps all over

Really good episode - amazing how many Maiden songs I've not heard in a long time, and have simply forgotten. Oh, and do you sell those cool little dolls? Those are AWESOME! :)

Out of the Silent Planet is definitely my favorite on BNW but knowing he also wrote two of the other favorites on that record “Dream of Mirrors “ and “Ghost of the Navigator” I totally agree with the Favorite list other than “The Legacy” which I would list a little lower personally. Great video guys Up The Irons… Always! Cheers

Just wondering, are you guys going to see Titanium Tart in July? Wish I could be there, but would be cool to see some clips of Nicko behind the tubs. Can't wait for round 2 of The Future Past.

X-Factor is one of the best albums, probably top 5 for me. Look for the truth is a great song, Edge of darkness kicks ass too.

Capn you made me go back and listen to Lord of Light and my god I forgot how great that song is. Usually when I hear someone mention the title I automatically think it's one of the weakest tracks on the album but then I remember there are no weak tracks on that album.

id bump up 2AM (Steves divorce song) and Como Esters Amigos (the blaze solo song).. and bump down shadows of the valley (Meh). Legacy/DoD/TBoS are my top 3.. Dream should have an Asterix since blaze didn't get the credit officially.
@clausclausie75603 ай бұрын
The definite winner of the bunch for me is no doubt Montsegur. Perhaps the best post-reunion Maiden song.

I am a huge fan of Lord of the Flies as well and I feel that it is one of their most underrated tracks. Where my opinion differs from you guys is that I love the studio version more than the Death on the Road version which is very unlike me because Bruce is my favorite vocalist ever. I just feel like Bruce opting for higher notes during the chorus isn't what the song needs. I'm not the BIGGEST Blaze fan but that is a song I really love his delivery on.
@TheEternalWayfarerАй бұрын
Him not having credits on No Prayer could even be for contractual reasons. Adrian wrote for Killers (Twilight Zone, co-written with Dave Murray) and Bruce wrote for The Number of the Beast (The Prisoner, Children of the Damned, Run to the Hills and Gangland), but they didn't get any credit for contractual reasons. As for the lyrics: Dance of Death's were written by Steve, while Janick provided the music (inspired by the last scene of Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal) and arranged the song with Steve. Same for The Legacy and all the rest of his songs, except The Pilgrim. Those are the only lyrics entirely (or almost entirely) written by Janick.

So disagree about Weekend Warrior. It is one of the best Janick songs, guys. Listen to this bizzare solo, it's just blowing mind. I think this song demonstrates all his power and style. Furthermore in this song amazing contrast between acoustic and electric guitar. It has some easy outgoing motive, and dynamic parts and main album theme.

My only issue with Janick is his majority of his solos which always feels poor and doesn't match Dave and Adrian level

The legacy sucks imo. No chorus, no real solos, not Maiden at all. Some songs are a bit too high imo as well, like a step lower but whatevs :p Otherwise always a good job by you, enjoying it :)
@DM-rc4yu3 ай бұрын
I wouldn't say "sucks" but I would put it as "okay" at best. I don't even mind that it's not very Maiden like, it's just not very good.
