These stories need to be told. Her courage is admirable. This is the history so many people don’t want told, but we can only move forward when we acknowledge our faults, learn from them and grow. Sadly we still have a long way to go as forms of discrimination are still very present.

Sadly, nothing has changed. Discrimination is still happening. I seriously doubt it will ever get better. People hold on to it because keeping others down is an advantage to them. As much as I support civil rights, I often wonder what's the point?

This so true, just can't believe this steal happens, I lived in maryland growing up ok. when i learned about the south, which now live in the south, their is steal racial discrimination. Its crazy, I never looked at person color, just one thing for sure I've learned a lot from African Americans growing up.

Well the naacp has limited powers because its as we all know its a whitemans world. I didnt even get that far a whiteman looked at me and told me if it wasnt for my resume' he would not be talking to me and he didnt give me the job. But they will hire an asian or whiteboy though.

Are you fucking kidding? Do you know how insensitive it is to say that people today are going through shit that's even close to anything that they faced back then, under Jim Crow? Honestly, people like you disgust me with your stupidity.

Try leaving your house, black people are RARELY discriminated against. You would know that if you left your house instead of living on the internet

What gets me about those who complain about racial discrimination is that the vast majority of them never make any attempt to fit into a work situation, instead they make a point of their race so they can't fit in. It's basically a setup. I've seen these types hire attorneys after making a mess of a job and trying to get employees to get special racial rights, and get a payoff to leave instead of being outright fired.

Well, you've managed to cram quite a bit of racist nonsense and general ignorance in that post! Good job! Thanks for comin' out!

You realize this comment is racist and stupid. An RN should ALWAYS make more than an LPN…no matter how long they’ve been on a job. That’s like a white PA (physicians assistant) making more than an MD (medical doctor) because the PA is white and MD is black. The one holding the hirer license should always make more. You’re thought process is the reason systemic racism still exists.

Oh, and you've never seen anything of the kind, you lying sack of shit.

But the problem becomes when different people are treated differently based on their skin color. I.e a visible minority gets punished far more harshly for same mistakes a white coworker makes. Also, in this video, she describes she makes less money than her white LPN coworker (despite the black woman being an RN). Does that seem fair to you?
