Right on Brother! This is an important public service announcement. No matter how polite, friendly, and professional a Black man or woman is in the workplace, THEY don't like you! Remember that at all times, and never get emotionally attached to your place of employment. Save your emotional energy for your family, friends, and above all Jesus. (Footnote: "They" refers to: (1) any non-Black race/ethnicity; (2) any Black coworker who views you as a threat.

Sometimes, it’s best to start your own businesses and work for yourself. These workplaces are BEYOND RACIST, HOSTILE, and STRESSFUL. It gets to the point where it’s not even worth putting up with this BS.

I agree. You might as well because you can't avoid it. No matter where you go, there's always going to be racism, sexism or favoritism. As long as you're working with people, you're going to experience one of those three.

Well sometimes racist customers treat us like trash. I know so many people who are sick of everything and sad to know but they turn to welfare. Personally I don't blame them. Even if the stress is too much why not file for temporary disability.

I've been through the whole workplace politics/racism thing. Never again. That's why I became a truck driver. I'm happier and make way more money.

Be known as the thorough guy in the office that dots every "i" and crosses every "t", double checks, follows up, and documents everything. If u have that reputation, then people will think twice about trying to sabotage you or make stuff up. Dont reveal anything from your personal life and keep interactions work related and cordial.

THEY TRIED TO GET PERSONAL WITH ME AND I JUST STARED AT THEM AND THEY BACK OFF. I KEEP MY DISTANCE AND WATCH WHAT I SAY AND DO. I BEEN ON MY JOB FOR 28 YEARS. IM GETTING A LICENSE TO CARRY OFF THE JOB. BECAUSE OF WHAT'S HAPPENING, I DON'T DATE WOMEN OF OTHER RACES ANYMORE. THEY USED THEM TO SET YOU UP.

I had White male security people scare me a couple times when I was manually writing notes in a legal pad since its better than typing since you can make technical charts and more. White security instructed me to not do that and was so bold to accuse me of writing personal information. i.e. bank account numbers and etc. He had no clue of my position. What is weird also is that I do check in to confidential enterprise expert systems and a few AI meetings and they sabotage my workstation. Many times I had to reboot it to clear the cache other times I cannot connect to their network drive while others can. Also, many times I cannot login as if they doing some internal DDOS attack so I cannot login. But it seems to be a inside job since its IT who knows about the bugs, vulnerability, and etc. since they are the cyber security experts but are not technologists and or enterprise programmers. Lastly, I strongly dislike my managers and the corporate culture. They don't care about quality, fraud, and misrepresentation and what happens afterwards since there are commissions involved. In the end the Fortune 1000 corporation went down and I lost money in their garbage stocks plus it was a hostile takeover.

I dealt with this in the past when I worked at Wal-Mart. I could of reported how I was treated by Mexican girls I worked with. But the job was not very important to me. I'm glad that I know who people are and it would be stupid to let racist people get to u. Only God can change people.

Its a blessing you made this video today. The culture of my current workplace is so incredibly toxic, sexist, and borderline racist that I literally was shaking from rage on the way home. I've made it a point to start taking my education seriously so I can get the hell out of there in the next 1.5 years (the time it will take to complete my degree.) I've noticed Black Men specifically are targeted, many times they'll take it a little easier on BW. Just from my personal experiences.

It sounds like homeboy went out like Colin Ferguson. Some heads just snap and can’t deal with these things rationally. A shame because in lieu of all of this his next of kin won’t be able to sue
@ShawnSJames
@ShawnSJames 4 жыл бұрын
His next of kin can still sue. If they can prove that management knew about the racist culture and did nothing to stop it they have a civil case that's very easy to win a judgment and punitive damages from.

I want to add another case, but would also these passive aggressive attitudes also be a problem as well? The reason I point this out is because you can deal with obvious behavior, but what about the types of attitudes where they are coming off like they are #woke and stand by but actually do nothing, because they don't want the stigma that they are racist for getting involved. You really have a hard time trying to figure out what goes on in the minds of people.
@ShawnSJames
@ShawnSJames 4 жыл бұрын
The passive/aggressive attitudes are often a precursor to racism. A lot of racists use passive aggressive behavior to express their contempt for Black people.
