17:15 Fun fact, if you check top branded leather or textile goods in Europe, most of the materials came from Indonesia. For example you can check Manchester United jersey in Old Trafford or AC Milan jersey, it says Made in Indonesia. Or German military uniform, it says Made in Indonesia, etc. So you don't have to worry about Indonesian quality. The dark side, top branded goods like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, D&C, etc most of their materials was came from Indonesia. The companies brought them (blank brand) with really cheap price, exported to Europe or US, put their brands, and then sell it with hundreds times more expensive. The Indonesian employee stay poor, but the branded employees is getting richer. That's why for most Indonesian, they rather buy these cheap goods (e.g: 10 bags) and use each of them in different days or mood, rather than just buy 1 expensive branded bag and only use this 1 bag everywhere they go. And this is also why the government doesn't really care if these "home industry" is faking the European/American brands.

The branded models are expensive, because you pay for the brand. So, these brands bought a quantity of items that they like from factories like these ones, then stamp their brand, multiply the price by 10 or 20, and sell it. A portion of those price goes for marketing, another portion goes to sales, and so on, and the most important thing, is their quality control. If the production quality are not that great, they pick 1 or 2 out of 10, and throw away the rest. Those loses are covered in their high price. These fake markets in many countries, some are actually the manufacturer of those products, the very same products. Well, some are not, but pretend to be one anyway. They sold the products directly to other people, minus the quality control. So you'll get a random products. But with the price, it's worth it.

Hello Janine.. Oh, so you are back at Jakarta? Is Susan here too? Come to BSD. We do have some good food courts here, like Rans Nusantara, or the famous food street at Goldfinch and sorrento. This is actually a residential area, and most established Jakarta people lives here. There is also a good aquarium named bxsea nearby. Anyway, if you want to find something, online shopping is your friend. Offline stores are not much right now. They moved to online, except food and beverages and cafes, you know, something that can't be done online. Aceton is nail polish remover.

Where you come from btw ?......if you visit Indonesia, you definitely should go to Bandung & Jogja.... it's v good there also things, food r cheap......bt yea if you wanna see skyscrapers n fancy stuff ofc Jakarta is the place you should go to,, you can also go to Bromo mountain as you're in Java island, I think that's it bt if you wanna explore more then you can go to Komodo island, Manado, Surabaya and prolly Papua Raja ampat

the products are all made by the locals thats why its cheap, actually famous brand like nike, prada, etc. also made in indonesia. the difference is they got through the screening for quality check before it get exported and sold 100x price abroad. so technically its not fake, its just doesnt have the right to use the brand 😂
