I was a child of the eighties, yet Janis is what I loved back then. Still do and the older I get, the more I appreciate her uniqueness.

Janis Joplin. Bare wire emotions laid out for all to feel. Pain is what Janis sings. The finest blues singer since Bessie Smith. I saw Janis with this band in San Francisco in 1969 at Winterland. Savoy Brown opened. Janis was the most authentic, honest singer. No lies. No BS. The truth in your face. Janis' favorite singer is Tina Turner. Janis admired her and loved her Review style band with horns. That is why this band showcases Janis best. RIP Janis Joplin

The greatest most intense emotional performance JJ ever did (my opinion) was ‘WORK ME LORD’ in Stockholm, Sweden 1969 Portland Oregon USA 🇺🇸

Janis Joplin is a treasure to watch, a visual phenomenon. This performance is good, but a little ragged compared to the studio recording, which is much clearer, both vocally and instrumentally. You will get feels from it too.

Janis Joplin. America's finest blues singer. Live music is best. Studio songs are stale and cannot capture Janis' soul and power. RIP Janis Joplin

Ya know Janis Joplin and Jimmy Hendrix had a quick affair, right? But anyway.
@J.Fro902 жыл бұрын
I've heard mention of that before, but I never knew like how long it went on. Did they ever collaborate musically? That would've been pure FIRE
@hipgnotist7772 жыл бұрын
@@J.Fro90 There is at least one Joplin-Hendrix jam on yt. They never did anything "official," just a jam someone managed to record.... BTW, add me to your subscriber list.
