1) The tub vac has the wrong head on it. The standard Henry head is not correct, it at least needs a Turbo Head on it to brush open the fibres. You also need to comb the pile open and agitate the pre spray, 2) You should do a dye bleed test for at least 5 minutes, not 30 seconds, with an alkaline at pH 10.5 and an acid at pH 5, so if it DOES bleed, you can lock it back in. You also need a hairdryer in case both bleed and you need it to dry quickly. 3) You need to use hot water, hence the name 'hot water extraction' (HWE)
