i enjoy making lures like these,they will work just as good as any brand name ones you could buy,and you can make them any size.i have made bunch of real small sized ones for panfish.i test em out in the bathtub to make sure they run right lol

@smoothcriminal997 Yes, A lure like that will Catch pike. Most lures made comercially you will find are around 3 to 3.5 inches for a larger (Standard) inline spinner. One of these Manufactured ones known to catch both pike and Musky is a #5 Black Fury or Aglia French spinners from Mepps.. I have even heard of Pike hitting the smaller versions down to size 2. The rest of the equation to catching your fish, well.. That is up to the fish on that day.

I would like to see how you attach the clevis, and the size of the clevis, and metal beads. This is a great video, that would be a little better if you did that. I now feel confident in making my own inline spinners. Thanks!

netcraft also sells a small tool that makes it even easier to bend the wire. i make my own spinners patterned after mepps, and they work just as well as mepps, for a fraction of the cost. netcraft sells all the parts you need to make mepps-type and panther martin-type spinners. and though they don't sell silver plated french blades, they do sell prism tape to fit their nickel blades and which is even flashier. and no, i don't work for netcraft. i just love to fish and make my own lures.

From what I can see (Unless this guys hands are of some weird size) its: 4g body, clevis no.3, treble no. 4, beads around 5mm, shaft between 0.8-1mm (around 0.031''-0.039'' if I am correct), blade size 4 or 5. But if I was you I would experiment, changing the components, i make lures of various weights for different purposes: heavier for deeper water or fast running water and for long casts, lighter for shallow water, also different treble hooks: small for trout, big for pike etc.

@AriellaKK The Clevis just gets slid over the shaft at two points. The blade must be placed on before the second point, and then it too is slid onto the shaft.

Very nice! Going to request a catalog. Only comment is is that your shaft wire is way too long. If you look at a Rooster Tail, there's hardly any wire showing. Just my 2 cents

I tried making a spinning lure. What I don't understand about it is that the spinning blade turns slowly. is it the weight of the body or the positioning of the blade?. I really don't know the answer.

Do you sell barbless hooks? I did not find them on your website. Washington State requires single, barbless hook on certain waters. Since my favorite lures are Rooster Tail, it is nigh impossible to find what I want to fish with.
