@@SewDecorous do you also recommend always serging or zigzagging the elastic on first? Or could I just cover stitch it all together

Do you like the Janome? I have heard terrible reviews but I Love my DC2015.

My life as Jen I love the Janome 2000. Mine has always handled everything I’ve put it up to, and I don’t have problems with skipped stitches. I knew nothing about coverstitching when I got it and found it easy to learn and use, but I know that’s not everyone’s experience. It seems people either love it or hate it. If you are near a dealer, maybe you can test one. 😊

Valerie Herren I wish there was a dealer near me. The dealers in my area only sell Babylock (can’t afford that).

My life as Jen I hear you! It does make it hard. I didn’t test mine first. I had a local vac and sew place order it for me. I haven’t regretted getting the Janome.

It's been a year but maybe it helps - there are many Elna models that are identical just Janome with a different label. So maybe you can find those.
