Wow! I was today years old when I finally found out why the left-of-centre stitching function exists for more professional results! Thank you SO much for going to the trouble of explaining, incl showing the special feeddog area on the plate. ❤ Also wow: what a gorgeous quilt behind you!

Can you set the machine to raise the presser foot for pivoting ?

Yes you can set the machine to raise the foot for pivoting and Janome allows you to adjust the pivot height up to 6mm, depending on your needs. It's a cool feature and I use it A LOT.

Thank you for this great video! Do you think it’s better than a Bernina 475 or 570? Is the motor of the 9480 the same as these two? Does it have 2 guides for twin needle?

I would say it’s similar to the 735 or 770 but it doesn’t do embroidery.
