I’ve been watching your fantastic videos on KZbin from here in Australia & have learned so much. Please keep them up, especially using the Embroidery techniques on the Janome 15000. There’s still a lot I need to learn & am a visual learner, so the videos are really wonderful and that you’ve taken the time to offer them. I want to get more out of my machine & more confident using the Embroidery functions. I also have the amazing Janome M7 which I use for FMQ. Thank you so much for these videos.

I just bought a Janome MC 15000 and was so excited that Acufil software included. When I tried to load it on my laptop I found out that I need a computer with Windows. I have a MacBook Pro and really don't want to buy another laptop. Is there any way to load it on my Mac?
@janomehqjanomecanada49083 жыл бұрын
HI Priscilla, Congratulations on your fabulous new machine! You can get a program called Parallels, or similar software which partitions the Mac's hard-drive in order to run Windows-based programs. Be to check out our Janome Life blogs for lots of posts about Horizon Link Suite and Acufil Quilting, as well as the many, many posts on the MC15000. Happy Sewing!

Thank you for all the great tutorials. I’ve have learned a lot. I just wish we could see what you are doing on the machine and your laptop. Filming is so far away, it’s impossible to see anything. Not sure why, when I make it to full screen your video is a long skinny picture.
@janomehqjanomecanada49084 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your feedback! The video was recorded from a Facebook LIVE presentation where we had the Ipad mounted vertically on the stand, so that's why the video is long and skinny. At the time I couldn't change the orientation of the screen. This was the first FB Live we had done, so we soon learned the Ipad needed to be closer - it was all a new learning curve, but we're trying to do better with each video! Thank you for your support of Janome HQ!

Can you get more AcuFil designs
@janomehqjanomecanada49084 жыл бұрын
Hi Jackie. You can create your own AcuFil Quilting designs with digitizing software, like our Artistic Digitizer, and with our free AcuSketch APP available from the APP store - you can draw your own designs, save them to a USB stick and transfer to your embroidery machine to stitch out! Sew much fun!

Your video is very informative and I feel like I learned a lot. I'm wondering if it's possible to quilt using AcuFil around 9x9 blocks that have a design embroidered in the center of each of them?
@janomehqjanomecanada49084 жыл бұрын
HI Paula! thank you sew much! Yes, its possible, though the AcuFil hoop for the MC15000 is 8.5" square, so you'll have to either create multiple hoopings to complete a design, or, create a smaller design, like the cabled border, to fit within the hoop size

Sorry, i’m into the video, to your showing a large quilt, and am clueless about what you’re doing, cause I can SEE what you’re showing. Is this just straightup- quilting, is it trupundo? Did you look at this video before putting it out there. I’m off, so sorry. I really am interested and love Janome.
@janomehqjanomecanada49083 жыл бұрын
I'm not quite sure what you're asking - Acufil Quilting is like traditional quilting, but done in the embroidery hoop. It's available with some of our Janome machines. Do a Google search for AcuFil Quilting and LOTS of additional information comes up so you'll have a better understanding of the concept.
@miric62243 жыл бұрын
@@janomehqjanomecanada4908 thank you for your reply. I did a seatch after my comment. It’s too bad you didn’t start with a definition. I am an old time quilter who just purched another Janome, expensive, product with acufeed capabilities, so the “acu” caught my interest. The intro photography was poor. Are we expected to see machine stitching on an item photographed from six feet away...and some color thread on fabric? Just saying, i wanted to learn, but was disappointed atthe start of your demo. I didn’t bother watching the whole tjing because i had no reason or indicationit would get better. I’ved watched tons of video sewing demos and am a retired teacher. I hope you take my comments with the positive intent they’re meant. In retirement I teach a few girls sewing and gifted each with a 2222. Thank you for your time.
@janomehqjanomecanada49083 жыл бұрын
@@miric6224 thank you for your feedback. There are indeed so many "Acu" in the Janome vocabulary. Acufeed is definitely different than AcuFil Quilting. The wonderful thing about these free videos and social media is that if anyone isn't pleased with the quality or the content, they can simply click away. These videos are captures of social media posts we started doing a year ago at the start of the pandemic as a means to connect with the Janome users, rather than just remaining off-line waiting for the pandemic to pass. Online learning was totally new concept for most of us, and we made and continue to make the best with the equipment and circumstances we have. We're trying to do the best we can under such exceptionally trying circumstances which caught us all by surprise. And we're still here, a year later, still trying to make the best of the situation. Thank you for sharing the Janome Love!

Why does it say my design can’t be edited
@janomehqjanomecanada490821 күн бұрын
AcuFil designs, like stippling, can't be edited to adjust the spacing of the stippling, for example., so that's why you get that message if you're in the edit screen of your machine. Happy Sewing!

Great tute. Informative and well presented. The only things that let you down was not having a full screen and a cameraman who didn’t seem to know how to operate the camera. Do you realise that all the things you referred to cannot be seen? No closeups so very disappointing.
@janomehqjanomecanada49083 жыл бұрын
HI Jill. Thank you for your feedback. This was my first ever FB LIVE and a first for my partner, who was recording on the IPAD. He is not a professional cameraman, and it was only after reviewing the presentation that we realized he was too far away to see detail. I try to explain things thoroughly so people can still follow instructions what to do, even if they can't see my screen. These were the early days of the Pandemic when we were all trying to figure new ways to connect in order to educate, but also to connect so people less isolated and alone. The whole new world of teaching on line is new to many of us and we're trying to do our best.
