Janome HD2200 Sewing Machine Review

Anna is the best at demonstrating these master machines. If I had the money I would buy every machine I've ever seen her display or demonstrate

It’s a superb machine. I also sew bags and it really goes through the layers.

I have this machine and it is a dream to sew with, it is a solid easy machine to use, sews through everything from light fabrics to heavier vinyls etc ive made everything on it right up to full vinyl bags. The only negative thing ive found is it doesnt automatically stop with the needle down but thats a very minor thing, oncw you get into the habit of just turning is into the down position. Its a really lovely solid machine. Much more reliable imo than the computerised brothers...singers etc, its definately heavier duty than the hdsingers and the hdnecchis thats ive used.

I am interested in buying an HD-2200, but first I am trying to figure out two things- maybe you can help me out. When did you purchase the machine, and did you buy it new? (was it manufactured after 2018?) What is the motor amp rating? Should be a sticker somewhere on the side or bottom of the machine showing the power rating... I am interested to know if it uses a 0.5A motor, 1A motor, or somewhere in between. Thanks
