Janome HD9 Sewing Machine Customer Bag Test

2 of our customers from the dales came in to the shop today with some bag and purse samples they make that they have been struggling to make on there very good quality pattern machines. They came to see the legend of the Janome HD9 the replacement to the 1600p from Janome to see if it will make life easier and more profitable.

Hello. I have a question about your experience with that particular sewing machine. Do you see any difference between the HD 9 and a sewing machine that had a built-in walking foot? Especially when it comes to sewing bags and wallets.

hastiin this machine is fine for lightweight leather. The walking foot only really helps for heavy leather, multiple layers and fur.

Impressive for a machine without a walking foot. My Janome Atelier 5 struggles with the seam junction of two pieces of quilting weight cotton (just the cotton, that’s without wadding)! Honestly it has put me off Janome for life.

I would take your machine in to your dealer and check the feed Hight, the Atelier is a great machine, there is a lot of machines I won’t sell in the shop but we do back them.

Fabric Mouse Thank you for replying. I don’t have a dealer anywhere near me and I bought it used, so I’m stuck with it. I won’t make that mistake again! Once this rotten virus is over with, I’ll try to find someone who can look at it and I’m glad you mentioned the height of the feed dogs, I was wondering if they were contributing to the problem.
